سورة البلد - 90 - |

|
بِسْمِ ٱللّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ |
||
| In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful and the Most Compassionate | ||
| 1 |
۞ لَآ أُقْسِمُ بِهَٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ﴿1﴾لا |
قَسَمَ,
|
| I take an oath of this town. | ||
| 2 |
وَأَنتَ حِلٌّۢ بِهَٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ﴿2﴾لا |
حَلَّ,
|
| And you are clear to settle down in this town. | ||
| 3 |
وَوَالِدٍۢ وَمَا وَلَدَ﴿3﴾لا |
وَلَدَ,
|
| And by father and those given birth. | ||
| 4 |
لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ فِى كَبَدٍ﴿4﴾ط |
أَنِسَ,
|
| We created humankind to endure. | ||
| 5 |
أَيَحْسَبُ أَن لَّن يَقْدِرَ عَلَيْهِ أَحَدٌۭ﴿5﴾م |
قَدَرَ,
|
| Does he consider that no one has control over him? | ||
| 6 |
يَقُولُ أَهْلَكْتُ مَالًۭا لُّبَدًا﴿6﴾ط |
قَالَ,
|
| He says, “I have spent weighted (lots of) wealth.” | ||
| 7 |
أَيَحْسَبُ أَن لَّمْ يَرَهُۥٓ أَحَدٌ﴿7﴾ط |
رَأَى,
|
| Does he consider that no one sees him? | ||
| 8 |
أَلَمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُۥ عَيْنَيْنِ﴿8﴾لا |
جَعَلَ,
|
| Have We not given two eyes to him? | ||
| 9 |
وَلِسَانًۭا وَشَفَتَيْنِ﴿9﴾لا |
لَسِنَ,
|
| And a tongue and two lips? | ||
| 10 |
وَهَدَيْنَٰهُ ٱلنَّجْدَيْنِ﴿10﴾ج |
هَدَى,
|
| And We guided him with two reinforcements? | ||
| 11 |
فَلَا ٱقْتَحَمَ ٱلْعَقَبَةَ﴿11﴾ز صلے |
عَقَبَ,
|
| But he has not embarked boldly to the steep path. | ||
| 12 |
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْعَقَبَةُ﴿12﴾ط |
دَرَك,
|
| And what do you comprehend of the steep path? | ||
| 13 |
فَكُّ رَقَبَةٍ﴿13﴾لا |
رَقَبَ,
|
| To set a slave free. | ||
| 14 |
أَوْ إِطْعَٰمٌۭ فِى يَوْمٍۢ ذِى مَسْغَبَةٍۢ﴿14﴾لا |
يَوْم,
|
| Or feeding a meal on a day to the hungry. | ||
| 15 |
يَتِيمًۭا ذَا مَقْرَبَةٍ﴿15﴾لا |
قَرُبَ,
|
| Orphans near of kin. | ||
| 16 |
أَوْ مِسْكِينًۭا ذَا مَتْرَبَةٍۢ﴿16﴾ط |
مسكن,
|
| Or poor with poverty. | ||
| 17 |
ثُمَّ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلصَّبْرِ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلْمَرْحَمَةِ﴿17﴾ط |
أَ مُنَ,
|
| Then those who are among believers advise to remain patient and give counsel to have mercy. | ||
| 18 |
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ﴿18﴾ط |
صَحِبَ,
|
| Those are the companions of the right hand. | ||
| 19 |
وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا هُمْ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ﴿19﴾ط |
كَفَرَ,
|
| But as for those who did not believe in Our signs, they are the companions of the sinister. | ||
| 20 |
عَلَيْهِمْ نَارٌۭ مُّؤْصَدَةٌۢ﴿20﴾1ع |
نَار,
|
| Upon them, the Fire will be closed shut. |
