سورة البروج - 85 -

بِسْمِ ٱللّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful and the Most Compassionate
1

وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلْبُرُوجِ﴿1﴾لا

سَمَا,
ذُو,
بر ج,
By the universe being primarily composed of galaxies. Note: A galaxy is a gravitationally bound system of stars, stellar remnants, interstellar gas, dust, and dark matter. Galaxies are categorized according to their visual morphology as elliptical, spiral, or irregular. Many galaxies are thought to have supermassive black holes at their centers. The Milky Way's central black hole, Sagittarius A*, has a mass four million times greater than the Sun. As of March 2016, GN-z11 is the oldest and most distant observed galaxy with a comoving distance of 32 billion light-years from Earth and observed as it existed just 400 million years after the Big Bang. وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْمَوْعُودِ﴿2﴾لا

يَوْم,
وَعَدَ,
It's the (end) Day that's promised.
3

وَشَاهِدٍۢ وَمَشْهُودٍۢ﴿3﴾ط

شَهِدَ,
And by the Witnessed and witnessed by.
4

قُتِلَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْأُخْدُودِ﴿4﴾لا

صَحِبَ,
قَتَلَ,
خَدَّ,
The companions in the trench were killed.
5

ٱلنَّارِ ذَاتِ ٱلْوَقُودِ﴿5﴾لا

نَار,
ذُو,
وَقَدَ,
The fire with possessed (plenty of) fuel.
6

إِذْ هُمْ عَلَيْهَا قُعُودٌۭ﴿6﴾لا

قَعَدَ,
عَلَا,
إِذْ,
When they sat around it.
7

وَهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفْعَلُونَ بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ شُهُودٌۭ﴿7﴾ط

أَ مُنَ,
فَعَلَ,
شَهِدَ,
They witnessed what they were doing with the believers.
8

وَمَا نَقَمُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ إِلَّآ أَن يُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِٱللّٰهِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَمِيدِ﴿8﴾لا

عَزَّ,
أَ مُنَ,
حَمِدَ,
نَقَمَ,
And they took revenge only because they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy.
9

ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَٱللّٰهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ شَهِيدٌ﴿9﴾ط

سَمَا,
أَ رَضْ,
شِاءَ,
شَهِدَ,
مَلَكَ,
كُلَّ,
He is the One, for Him is the universe and the earth. And Allah is the Witness to everything.
10

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ فَتَنُوا۟ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُوبُوا۟ فَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ ٱلْحَرِيقِ﴿10﴾ط

عَذُبَ,
جَهَنَّم,
تَا بَ,
حَرَقَ,
أَ مُنَ,
فَتَنَ,
ثَمَّ,
Those who torture believing men and women and do not repent, for them, is Hell, and for them, is the punishment of burning.
11

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّٰتٌۭ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْكَبِيرُ﴿11﴾ط

كَبَرَ,
جَرَى,
جَنَّ,
عَمِلَ,
تَحْتَ,
نَهَرَ,
صَلَحَ,
فَازَ,
ذَا,
Those who believe and do righteous deeds for them will be gardens with rivers flowing beneath them. That is the greatest success.
12

إِنَّ بَطْشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ﴿12﴾ط

شَدَّ,
بَطَشَ,
رَبَّ,
The strike (Power) of your Rabb is intense.
13

إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ يُبْدِئُ وَيُعِيدُ﴿13﴾ج

عَادَ,
بَدَأَ,
He is The One, Who Originates and Repeats.
14

وَهُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلْوَدُودُ﴿14﴾لا

غَفَرَ,
وَدَّ,
And He is the Most Forgiving, Most Loving.
15

ذُو ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْمَجِيدُ﴿15﴾لا

عَرَشَ,
مَجَدَ,
Possessor of the Glorious Throne.
16

فَعَّالٌۭ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ﴿16﴾ط

رَادَ,
فَعَلَ,
Doer of whatever He desires.
17

هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلْجُنُودِ﴿17﴾لا

جُنْد,
حَدَثَ,
أَتَى,
Has the news of the army come to you?
18

فِرْعَوْنَ وَثَمُودَ﴿18﴾ط

Of Firon and Samoud?
19

بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فِى تَكْذِيبٍۢ﴿19﴾لا

كَفَرَ,
كَذَبَ,
بَلْ,
فِي,
It is, in fact, those who are ungrateful who are in denial.
20

وَٱللّٰهُ مِن وَرَآئِهِم مُّحِيطٌۢ﴿20﴾ج

حَاطَ,
وَرَى,
And Allah has surrounded them from behind them.
21

بَلْ هُوَ قُرْءَانٌۭ مَّجِيدٌۭ﴿21﴾لا

قَرَأَ,
مَجَدَ,
But this is the Glorious Quran.
22

فِى لَوْحٍۢ مَّحْفُوظٍۭ﴿22﴾1ع

لَاحَ,
حَفِظَ,
فِي,
It is preserved (protected) on a slab.
