Ayat Al-Qiyama RootWords

سورة القيامة - 75 -

بِسْمِ ٱللّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful and the Most Compassionate
1

۞ لَآ أُقْسِمُ بِيَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ﴿1﴾لا

قَسَمَ,
يَوْم,
قَامَ,
No! I take the Oath of the Day of Standing.
2

وَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلنَّفْسِ ٱللَّوَّامَةِ﴿2﴾ط

قَسَمَ,
نَفُسَ,
لَامَ,
And no! I take the Oath of the soul of the self-blamed.
3

أَيَحْسَبُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَلَّن نَّجْمَعَ عِظَامَهُۥ﴿3﴾ط

عَظُمَ,
جَمَعَ,
حَسَبَ,
أَنِسَ,
Does the man think that We will not collect his bones?
4

بَلَىٰ قَٰدِرِينَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّسَوِّىَ بَنَانَهُۥ﴿4﴾

سَوِيَ,
بلو,
قَدَرَ,
بَنَا نْ,
Yes indeed! We can straighten (arrange even) his fingertips (Human fingerprints are detailed, nearly unique, difficult to alter, and durable over an individual's life, making them suitable as long-term markers of human identity Ref. Wikipedia).

بَلْ يُرِيدُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ لِيَفْجُرَ أَمَامَهُۥ﴿5﴾ج

أَنِسَ,
رَادَ,
فَجَرَ,
أَ مَّ,
But the man desires to sin what is in front of him (looks for a present reward and does not think that the results of his deeds will come back).
6

يَسْـَٔلُ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ﴿6﴾ط

سَأَلَ,
يَوْم,
قَامَ,
أَيْنَ,
He asks, “When is the Day of Standing (final judgment)?”
7

فَإِذَا بَرِقَ ٱلْبَصَرُ﴿7﴾لا

بَصُرَ,
بَرَقَ,
Then with the twinkling of the eye.
8

وَخَسَفَ ٱلْقَمَرُ﴿8﴾لا

خَسَفَ,
قَمَرَ,
And the moon will sink.
9

وَجُمِعَ ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ﴿9﴾ل

شَمَسَ,
قَمَرَ,
جَمَعَ,
And the sun and the moon will be united.
10

يَقُولُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَيْنَ ٱلْمَفَرُّ﴿10﴾ج

قَالَ,
يَوْم,
أَنِسَ,
فَرَّ,
أَيْنَ,
On the Day, humankind will say, “Where is the escape?”
11

كَلَّا لَا وَزَرَ﴿11﴾ط

كَلَّا,
وَزَرَ,
No indeed! Nobody took responsibility for his deeds (nobody to help).
12

إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْمُسْتَقَرُّ﴿12﴾ط

يَوْم,
قَرَّ,
إِلَى,
رَبَّ,
Towards his Rabb on that Day is the final dwelling (final resting place).
13

يُنَبَّؤُا۟ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ بِمَا قَدَّمَ وَأَخَّرَ﴿13﴾ط

يَوْم,
نَبَأَ,
أَنِسَ,
قَدَمَ,
أخر,
On that day, the man will be informed about what he has sent forward and what he has left behind.
14

بَلِ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِۦ بَصِيرَةٌۭ﴿14﴾لا

أَنِسَ,
نَفُسَ,
بَصُرَ,
بَلْ,
But the man, on his own, realizes.
15

وَلَوْ أَلْقَىٰ مَعَاذِيرَهُۥ﴿15﴾ط

لَقِيَ,
عَذَرَ,
لَوْ,
And wishes to submit his excuses.
16

لَا تُحَرِّكْ بِهِۦ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعْجَلَ بِهِۦٓ﴿16﴾ط

لَسِنَ,
عَجِلَ,
حَرِك,
Do not move (to vocalize) with your tongue to expedite (learning).
17

إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا جَمْعَهُۥ وَقُرْءَانَهُۥ﴿17﴾ج صلے

قَرَأَ,
جَمَعَ,
Indeed, Its collection and its recitation are on Us.
18

فَإِذَا قَرَأْنَٰهُ فَٱتَّبِعْ قُرْءَانَهُۥ﴿18﴾ج

تَبِعَ,
قَرَأَ,
Then, when We have recited it, follow (pursue, adhere to what is) its recitation.
19

ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا بَيَانَهُۥ﴿19﴾ط

بَا نَ,
ثَمَّ,
Then, it is upon Us to make its explanation (evident).
20

كَلَّا بَلْ تُحِبُّونَ ٱلْعَاجِلَةَ﴿20﴾لا

حَبَّ,
عَجِلَ,
كَلَّا,
Indeed, you love the faster (life of this world).
21

وَتَذَرُونَ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَ﴿21﴾ط

وَذَرَ,
أخر,
And you leave the Hereafter.
22

وُجُوهٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ نَّاضِرَةٌ﴿22﴾لا

يَوْم,
وَجَهَ,
نَضَرَ,
On that Day, faces will be blooming.
23

إِلَىٰ رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌۭ﴿23﴾ج

نَظَرَ,
إِلَى,
رَبَّ,
Towards their Rabb, they will be looking.
24

وَوُجُوهٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ بَاسِرَةٌۭ﴿24﴾لا

يَوْم,
وَجَهَ,
بَسَرَ,
And on that Day, faces will be scowling.
25

تَظُنُّ أَن يُفْعَلَ بِهَا فَاقِرَةٌۭ﴿25﴾ط

ظَنَّ,
فَعَلَ,
فَقَرَ,
Realizing that he would be acted upon by poverty-stricken (impoverished).
26

كَلَّآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلتَّرَاقِىَ﴿26﴾لا

بَلَغَ,
كَلَّا,
تَرَاق,
Indeed not, when it reaches his collarbone.
27

وَقِيلَ مَنْ ۜ رَاقٍۢ﴿27﴾لا

قَالَ,
رَقَّ,
And it is said, “Who is compassionate?” (who can save a life?)
28

وَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ ٱلْفِرَاقُ﴿28﴾لا

ظَنَّ,
فَرَقَ,
And he realizes that he is in separation.
29

وَٱلْتَفَّتِ ٱلسَّاقُ بِٱلسَّاقِ﴿29﴾لا

سَاقَ,
لَفَّ,
And the leg is entwined with another leg.
30

إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْمَسَاقُ﴿30﴾ط 1ع

يَوْم,
سَاقَ,
إِلَى,
رَبَّ,
To your Rabb, on that Day will be the drive.
31

فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلَّىٰ﴿31﴾لا

صَدَقَ,
صلو,
He neither gave charity nor prayed.
32

وَلَٰكِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ﴿32﴾لا

وَلِيَ,
كَذَبَ,
And but he lied and turned away.
33

ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ يَتَمَطَّىٰٓ﴿33﴾ط

ذَهَبَ,
أهَلَ,
إِلَى,
مَطَا,
ثَمَّ,
Then he went to his family, stretching (expanding himself in admiring).
34

أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰ﴿34﴾لا

وَيْل,
Woe to you and your suffering.
35

ثُمَّ أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰٓ﴿35﴾ط

ثَمَّ,
وَيْل,
Then again: woe to you and your suffering.
36

أَيَحْسَبُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَن يُتْرَكَ سُدًى﴿36﴾ط

حَسَبَ,
أَنِسَ,
تَرَكَ,
سَدَّى,
Does the man think he will be left in vain (unaccountable, useless)?
37

أَلَمْ يَكُ نُطْفَةًۭ مِّن مَّنِىٍّۢ يُمْنَىٰ﴿37﴾لا

نَطَفَ,
مَنَا,
Is it not that he is a drop of emitting semen?
38

ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةًۭ فَخَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ﴿38﴾لا

خَلَقَ,
سَوِيَ,
عَلِقَ,
كَانَ,
ثَمَّ,
Then he became a clot. And He shaped and proportionated?
39

فَجَعَلَ مِنْهُ ٱلزَّوْجَيْنِ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ﴿39﴾ط

جَعَلَ,
ذَكّرَ,
أَنُثَ,
زَاجَ,
And created from it the pairs, the male and the female?
40

أَلَيْسَ ذَٰلِكَ بِقَٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يُحْـِۧىَ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ﴿40﴾2ع

حي,
مَاتَ,
لَيْسَ,
قَدَرَ,
ذَا,
Is it not so that Who has power on it (to create a man alive) that He gives life to the dead?
