سورة الحاقة - 69 - |

|
بِسْمِ ٱللّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ |
||
| In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful and the Most Compassionate | ||
| 1 |
۞ ٱلْحَآقَّةُ﴿1﴾لا |
حَقَّ,
|
| The assertion of Reality. (to maintain, hold, claim, argue, insist, state, declare, profess, affirm) | ||
| 2 |
مَا ٱلْحَآقَّةُ﴿2﴾ج |
حَقَّ,
|
| What is the assertion of Reality? | ||
| 3 |
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْحَآقَّةُ﴿3﴾ط |
حَقَّ,
|
| What do you understand about what the assertion of Reality is? | ||
| 4 |
كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ وَعَادٌۢ بِٱلْقَارِعَةِ﴿4﴾ |
كَذَبَ,
|
| Samoud and Aad denied the Striking of the Hour of Last Judgment. | ||
| 5 |
فَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَأُهْلِكُوا۟ بِٱلطَّاغِيَةِ﴿5﴾ |
هَلَكَ,
|
| As for Samoud, they were destroyed by the flood. | ||
| 6 |
وَأَمَّا عَادٌۭ فَأُهْلِكُوا۟ بِرِيحٍۢ صَرْصَرٍ عَاتِيَةٍۢ﴿6﴾لا |
رَاحَ,
|
| And as for Aad, they were destroyed with persistent, violent wind. | ||
| 7 |
سَخَّرَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَبْعَ لَيَالٍۢ وَثَمَٰنِيَةَ أَيَّامٍ حُسُومًۭا فَتَرَى ٱلْقَوْمَ فِيهَا صَرْعَىٰ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ خَاوِيَةٍۢ﴿7﴾ج |
يَوْم,
|
| He subjugated them for seven nights and eight days, decisively terminated them; you could see the nation there, thrown to the ground, like they were empty trunks of the palm trees. | ||
| 8 |
فَهَلْ تَرَىٰ لَهُم مِّنۢ بَاقِيَةٍۢ﴿8﴾ |
رَأَى,
|
| Do you see (anything) remaining? | ||
| 9 |
وَجَآءَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَن قَبْلَهُۥ وَٱلْمُؤْتَفِكَٰتُ بِٱلْخَاطِئَةِ﴿9﴾ج |
قَبِلَ,
|
| And Firoun came, and those predecessors and their cities were overturned due to their sins. | ||
| 10 |
فَعَصَوْا۟ رَسُولَ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَهُمْ أَخْذَةًۭ رَّابِيَةً﴿10﴾ |
أَخَذَ,
|
| But they disobeyed the messenger of their Rabb, so they were held in an exceeding (stronger) hold. | ||
| 11 |
إِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَا ٱلْمَآءُ حَمَلْنَٰكُمْ فِى ٱلْجَارِيَةِ﴿11﴾لا |
مَا ءَ,
|
| "When the water (level) exceeded (its limit), we carried you on the ship." | ||
| 12 |
لِنَجْعَلَهَا لَكُمْ تَذْكِرَةًۭ وَتَعِيَهَآ أُذُنٌۭ وَٰعِيَةٌۭ﴿12﴾ |
جَعَلَ,
|
| Indeed, We made this a vital reminder to encourage listeners to pay attention. | ||
| 13 |
فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ نَفْخَةٌۭ وَٰحِدَةٌۭ﴿13﴾لا |
أ حد,
|
| Then, when the Horn is blown, a single blow. (It can be a single planet, asteroid, or comet hitting the earth that will destroy the planet, among other cosmic events that will signal the end of the world). | ||
| 14 |
وَحُمِلَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَٱلْجِبَالُ فَدُكَّتَا دَكَّةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ﴿14﴾لا |
أَ رَضْ,
|
| And whatever is carried on the earth and the mountains, will be crushed with a single blow. | ||
| 15 |
فَيَوْمَئِذٍۢ وَقَعَتِ ٱلْوَاقِعَةُ﴿15﴾لا |
يَوْم,
|
| On that Day, the occurrence will happen. | ||
| 16 |
وَٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَهِىَ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ وَاهِيَةٌۭ﴿16﴾لا |
سَمَا,
|
| And the sky will break down, so it will become weak (flimsy). | ||
| 17 |
وَٱلْمَلَكُ عَلَىٰٓ أَرْجَآئِهَا ۚ وَيَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ ثَمَٰنِيَةٌۭ﴿17﴾ط |
مَلَكَ,
|
| And the angels will surround, and on that day, there will be eight carrying the Throne of Your Rabb over them. | ||
| 18 |
يَوْمَئِذٍۢ تُعْرَضُونَ لَا تَخْفَىٰ مِنكُمْ خَافِيَةٌۭ﴿18﴾ |
يَوْم,
|
| You will be presented (with all your deeds) on the Day of Judgement, and nothing will be hidden from you in secret. | ||
| 19 |
فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ فَيَقُولُ هَآؤُمُ ٱقْرَءُوا۟ كِتَٰبِيَهْ﴿19﴾ج |
قَالَ,
|
| He who is given his book in his right hand will say, "Here is my book, read it!" | ||
| 20 |
إِنِّى ظَنَنتُ أَنِّى مُلَٰقٍ حِسَابِيَهْ﴿20﴾ج |
ظَنَّ,
|
| Indeed, I believed that I would meet my account.” | ||
| 21 |
فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍۢ رَّاضِيَةٍۢ﴿21﴾لا |
عَاشَ,
|
| So, he will be in a prosperous, satisfying life. | ||
| 22 |
فِى جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍۢ﴿22﴾لا |
جَنَّ,
|
| In gardens of loftiness. | ||
| 23 |
قُطُوفُهَا دَانِيَةٌۭ﴿23﴾ |
قَطَفَ,
|
| "Picking up fruits from nearby location." | ||
| 24 |
كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَآ أَسْلَفْتُمْ فِى ٱلْأَيَّامِ ٱلْخَالِيَةِ﴿24﴾ |
يَوْم,
|
| “Eat and drink in happiness (now) because of what you have preceded in the past days.” | ||
| 25 |
وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِشِمَالِهِۦ فَيَقُولُ يَٰلَيْتَنِى لَمْ أُوتَ كِتَٰبِيَهْ﴿25﴾ج |
قَالَ,
|
| But as for him who is given his book in his left hand, he will say, “O I wish I were never given my book. | ||
| 26 |
وَلَمْ أَدْرِ مَا حِسَابِيَهْ﴿26﴾ج |
حَسَبَ,
|
| And I did not know (understand) what my account was. | ||
| 27 |
يَٰلَيْتَهَا كَانَتِ ٱلْقَاضِيَةَ﴿27﴾ج |
لَيْتَ,
|
| I wish that were the final decision (my death should have been the end). | ||
| 28 |
مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنِّى مَالِيَهْ ۜ﴿28﴾ج |
غَنِيَ,
|
| (Now), There is no use for me of my wealth. | ||
| 29 |
هَلَكَ عَنِّى سُلْطَٰنِيَهْ﴿29﴾ج |
سُلَط,
|
| My authority (to make decisions) has destroyed me.” | ||
| 30 |
خُذُوهُ فَغُلُّوهُ﴿30﴾لا |
أَخَذَ,
|
| “Take hold of him and put the iron collar on him. | ||
| 31 |
ثُمَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ صَلُّوهُ﴿31﴾لا |
جَحَمَ,
|
| Then burn him in the hellfire. | ||
| 32 |
ثُمَّ فِى سِلْسِلَةٍۢ ذَرْعُهَا سَبْعُونَ ذِرَاعًۭا فَٱسْلُكُوهُ﴿32﴾ط |
سَلْسَلَ,
|
| Then chain him in the measure of seventy measures, then follow him (drag him)". | ||
| 33 |
إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِٱللّٰهِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ﴿33﴾لا |
عَظُمَ,
|
| For he did not believe in Allah the Great. | ||
| 34 |
وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ﴿34﴾ط |
طَعِمَ,
|
| Nor he instigated (proposed) on feeding the poor. | ||
| 35 |
فَلَيْسَ لَهُ ٱلْيَوْمَ هَٰهُنَا حَمِيمٌۭ﴿35﴾لا |
يَوْم,
|
| So, nobody is here for him today as his protector. | ||
| 36 |
وَلَا طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِنْ غِسْلِينٍۢ﴿36﴾لا |
طَعِمَ,
|
| And no food except the discharge from the wounds. | ||
| 37 |
لَّا يَأْكُلُهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلْخَٰطِـُٔونَ﴿37﴾1ع |
أَكَلَ,
|
| Only sinners eat it. | ||
| 38 |
فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِمَا تُبْصِرُونَ﴿38﴾لا |
قَسَمَ,
|
| I take an oath with what you see. | ||
| 39 |
وَمَا لَا تُبْصِرُونَ﴿39﴾لا |
بَصُرَ,
|
| And with what you do not see. | ||
| 40 |
إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍۢ كَرِيمٍۢ﴿40﴾ج لا |
قَالَ,
|
| Indeed, these are the words (transmitted) by a noble messenger. | ||
| 41 |
وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَاعِرٍۢ ۚ قَلِيلًۭا مَّا تُؤْمِنُونَ﴿41﴾لا |
شَعَرَ,
|
| And these are not words of a poet; little do you believe. | ||
| 42 |
وَلَا بِقَوْلِ كَاهِنٍۢ ۚ قَلِيلًۭا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ﴿42﴾ط |
قَالَ,
|
| Nor words of a fortune teller, little do you mention. | ||
| 43 |
تَنزِيلٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ﴿43﴾ |
عَلِمَ,
|
| Revelation sent from the Rabb of the universe. | ||
| 44 |
وَلَوْ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَيْنَا بَعْضَ ٱلْأَقَاوِيلِ﴿44﴾لا |
بَعَضَ,
|
| If he had spoken (falsely) against Us, some of the words. | ||
| 45 |
لَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُ بِٱلْيَمِينِ﴿45﴾لا |
أَخَذَ,
|
| Surely, We would have taken hold of him from the right hand. | ||
| 46 |
ثُمَّ لَقَطَعْنَا مِنْهُ ٱلْوَتِينَ﴿46﴾ز صلے |
قَطَعَ,
|
| Then We would have cut his aorta. | ||
| 47 |
فَمَا مِنكُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ عَنْهُ حَٰجِزِينَ﴿47﴾ |
أَ جَل,
|
| And no one from you could prevent it for him. | ||
| 48 |
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَذْكِرَةٌۭ لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ﴿48﴾ |
تَقَى,
|
| This is a reminder for devoted (God-fearing). | ||
| 49 |
وَإِنَّا لَنَعْلَمُ أَنَّ مِنكُم مُّكَذِّبِينَ﴿49﴾ |
عَلِمَ,
|
| And indeed, We know that some of you will be rejectors (reject it). | ||
| 50 |
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَحَسْرَةٌ عَلَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ﴿50﴾ |
كَفَرَ,
|
| And indeed, this will surely be the grievance for the nonbelievers. | ||
| 51 |
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَحَقُّ ٱلْيَقِينِ﴿51﴾ |
حَقَّ,
|
| And indeed, yet this is the truth to be certain. | ||
| 52 |
فَسَبِّحْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَظِيمِ﴿52﴾2ع |
سَبَحَ,
|
| So, praise the name of your Rabb, the Greatest. |
