||
|
||
| In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful and the Most Compassionate | ||
| 1 |
|
| When the hypocrites come to you, saying, “We give witness genuinely that you are the Messenger of Allah,” Allah knows that, indeed, you are His Messenger, and Allah Bears witness that the hypocrites are liars. (Hypocrites do not believe that you are the Prophet and Messenger of Allah.) | ||
| 2 |
|
| They hold their oaths (assurances) as a shield to hinder Allah's path; Evil is what they do. (Hypocrites pretended to be Muslims so they could undo the efforts of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ). | ||
| 3 |
|
| They believed then they became nonbelievers, so the seal was put on their hearts, and they do not understand. | ||
| 4 |
|
| When you see them, you like the physique of their bodies. And when they talk, you listen to their words. They are like supported wood (speak with an accent). They consider every call-out is about them. They are the enemies, so be warned of them. May Allah destroy them; how separated they are! (distanced from the truth of Allah)! | ||
| 5 |
|
| And when you say to them, “Come, the messenger of Allah will ask for your forgiveness,” they turn away their heads, and you will see them turning away being arrogant. | ||
| 6 |
|
| It is equal to them; Allah will never forgive them whether you ask for or do not ask for their forgiveness. Allah does not guide the nation of the offenders. | ||
| 7 |
|
| They say, “Do not spend anything on those with the Messenger of Allah unless they have dispersed (they desert him).” The treasures of the universe and the earth belong to Allah, but the hypocrites do not comprehend. | ||
| 8 |
|
| They say, “If we return to the city of Medina, the honorable will be driven out from there by the lowly.” But Entire Honor is for Allah, His Messenger, and believers, but the hypocrites do not know. | ||
| 9 |
|
| O you who believe! Let neither your wealth nor your children turn your attention away from remembering Allah. Whoever does that will be the loser. | ||
| 10 |
|
| And spend from what We have provided you before death comes to one of you, and then he will say, “O my Rabb, I wish You had delayed me for a fixed time, so that I may give charity, and I would have been from the good-doers.” | ||
| 11 |
|
| And (but) Allah will never delay any soul when its appointed time arrives. Allah is All-Knowing about what you do. |
