||
||
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.
1 |
|
Praise be to Allah, Who created the Universe and the earth, and light and darkness (plural form). Yet those who disbelieve in their Rabb equate others to Him (treat others who do not create anything equal to Him). [Note: The Universe is primarily dark: about 96 percent consists of dark energy (about 69%) and dark matter (about 26%). Only about 5 % of the Universe— including the stars, planets, and us—is made of familiar atomic matter. X-rays can help reveal the secrets of the darkness].
2 |
|
He is the one Who created you from clay (mud), then preordained an appointed time (set time of life span) and set a definite time (set time of resurrection). Yet you are in doubt.[ NOTE: Clay hypothesis. The clay hypothesis suggests how biologically inert matter helped the evolution of early life forms: clay minerals form naturally from silicates in solution. Clay crystals, as other crystals, preserve their external formal arrangement as they grow, snap, clarification needed and grow further. Clay crystal masses of a particular external form may happen to affect their environment in ways that affect their chances of further replication. For example, a "stickier" clay crystal is more likely to silt a stream bed, creating an environment conducive to further sedimentation. It is conceivable that such effects could extend to the creation of flat areas likely to be exposed to air, dry, and turn to wind-borne dust, which could fall randomly in other streams. Thus—by simple, inorganic, physical processes—a selection environment might exist for the reproduction of clay crystals of the "stickier" shape.5 There follows a process of natural selection for clay crystals that trap certain forms of molecules to their surfaces that may enhance their replication potential. Complex proto-organic molecules can be catalysed by the surface properties of silicates. When complex molecules perform a "genetic takeover" from their clay "vehicle", they become an independent locus of replication – an evolutionary moment that might be understood as the first exaptation. REF WIKIPEDIA CLAY HYPOTHESIS].
3 |
|
And He is Allah in the universe and the earth. He knows your secrets, and what you openly declare, and what you gain (earn).
4 |
|
Whatever signs-verses come for them from their Rabb, they object (dispute, deny) them.
5 |
|
Then they denied the truth when it came to them, but soon We will bring them news about what they used to mock.
6 |
|
Do they not see how many associations We have destroyed before them? We have given them power on the earth that we haven't given you. And We sent rounds of rains from the sky on them, and We provided them rivers running below them. Then (but) We destroyed them because of their sins and raised other companions (associations) after them.
7 |
|
If We sent down on you a book with (consisting of) the sheets of pages, and they could touch it with their hands, then those nonbelievers will say, “This is only a clear magic.”(Note. Prophet Mohammed ﷴ ﷺ was conveying the messages verbally as Quran was revealed to him).
8 |
|
And they say, "Why was no angel sent down on him." if We had sent down an angel, then the matter would have been decided (to destroy and annihilate them), and they would not have been granted any delay.
9 |
|
And if We had made him an angel, We would have made him (looked like) a man, as confusion to them when they have already been confused.
10 |
|
Messengers who came before you were mocked, but they were surrounded due to their mocking of what they were ridiculing.
11 |
|
Say, “Travel on the earth and see how the punitive measures were taken against the deniers.”
12 |
|
Say, "For whom belongs to whatever is in the universe and the earth?" (Who is the Owner of the Universe and earth?). Say, "For Allah." He has written Mercy on Himself. You will be gathered without a doubt on the day of the standing. Those who suffer loss in themselves will not be believers.
13 |
|
Whatever inhabits (lives, dwells) in the nights and the days belongs to Him (He gave them time and opportunity to have a life). He is All-Listening, All-Knowing.
14 |
|
Say, “Should I take a Guardian (Supporter, In Charge, Manager, Ruler) other than Allah? He Creates (Cracks, Gives the Innate Character, Natural Disposition, Nature, Characteristic Properties) to the universe and the earth, and He feeds and is not fed?” Say, “I am ordered to be the first to submit.” And not be among those who make partners.
15 |
|
Say, “I fear if I disobey my Rabb, of the punishment of a great day.”
16 |
|
Whoever is turned away (to be punished) on this day will be spared by Mercy, which is a clear success.
17 |
|
And if Allah holds (seizes) you with harm, no one can remove (harm) for you except Him. And if He holds (supports) you with good, He has Control over everything.
18 |
|
And He is the Subjugator (Irresistible, Subduer, The All-Mighty) over His slaves; He is All-Wise All-Informed.
19 |
|
Say, “What thing is bigger as a witness?” Say, “Allah is A Witness between you and me. This Koran is inspired to me, so I warn you about this and whoever is communicated (with this message). Do you witness (testify) that there are other gods with Allah?” Say, “I do not give witness.” Say, “He is only One God, and I am free of blame from what you make partners.”
20 |
|
Those to whom We brought the Book (Al-Quran) recognize this as they recognize their sons, but those who lost themselves will not be believers. (They know this Book is the truth but will not admit it).
21 |
|
Who is more unjust than him who fabricates lies about Allah or denies His verses signs? Indeed, the unjust will not be beneficial.
22 |
|
On the Day, We will gather them all together. Then, We will say to those who were associating partners, “Where are your partners that you have been claiming?”
23 |
|
Then, no charm will be there for them (there will be no charm to make partners with Allah). They will only say, “By Allah, our Rabb, we were not associating (any partners for you).”
24 |
|
See how they lied about themselves. And what they were fabricating will be lost from them.
25 |
|
Among them who listen to you, We made covers on their hearts to stop them from comprehending this and hard of hearing in their ears. Even when they see every sign, they do not believe in it. When they come to you disputing, those who disbelieve say, “This is only writings (stories, fable myths) of the earlier ancestors.”
26 |
|
They prohibit this, and they are far away from this, but they are only destroying themselves, and they are not realizing.
27 |
|
If only you could see, when they are made to stop before the Fire, they will say, “O only we wish to return, and (we will) not deny the signs-verses of our Rabb, and we will be among the believers.”
28 |
|
But it became evident to them what they had been hiding before. And if they are returned, they will surely repeat what they were forbidden; they are surely liars. (Humans are given a choice to be believers every moment, every time, every day, many, many times in their lives).
29 |
|
And they said, “This is our only life of this world, and we will not be raised (we will not be awakened after death).”
30 |
|
If you could see when they will stand before their Rabb. He will say, “Is this not the truth?” They will say, “Yes, but by our Rabb.” He will say, “Taste the punishment because of what you had disbelieved.”
31 |
|
Certainly, those who incur a loss; lied about meeting with Allah. Then, when the time came to them suddenly, they said, “What a regret, what (a chance) has escaped from us, in this (that was a time to make a right decision but I missed it deliberately by my choice to be on the right path).” And they will be carrying their weight on their backs, evil what they carry.
32 |
|
And what is the life of this world except for play and amusement, but the Home of the Hereafter is best for those who are God-fearing. Do you not understand? (Deciding and selecting to spend time on the play and amusement or deciding and selecting the same time to remember Allah سبحانه و تعالى The Highest, The Most Exalted, The Absolute, and Perfect).
33 |
|
We know that what they say surely grieves you. So, they do not deny you (they are not saying that you lie), but the unjust are renouncing (rejecting) the signs and verses of Allah.
34 |
|
Messengers had been denied (carged as imposter) before you, but they bore with patience with what they were denied, and they were persecuted until Our help came to them. There can be no change in the words of Allah. You have already received the news of the Messengers (how they were treated) who come to you.
35 |
|
If their resistance (opposition) is too hard on you, then if you have the capability, you reach a tunnel in the earth or a ladder into the sky and get a sign for them (can you bring any other sign for them to believe). If Allah wanted, He would have gathered them on guidance. So, do not be among those who do not know.
36 |
|
But only those who listen will respond. As for the dead, Allah will resurrect them; then, towards Him, they will return.
37 |
|
And they say, “If only a sign would come down on him from his Rabb.” Say, “Allah has the Power to send down a sign, but many of them do not know.”
38 |
|
And nothing from the animals on the Earth, nor birds flying on their wings, but they are sourced like you (All living organisms on Earth share a common genetic heritage). We have not made anything inadvertently (accidentally) in the Book (We did not let anything escape from the register; everything is planned). Then towards your Rabb, you will be returned. [NOTE: The last universal common ancestor or last universal cellular ancestor (LUCA), also called the last universal ancestor (LUA), is the most recent population of organisms from which all organisms now living on Earth have a common descent—the most recent common ancestor of all current life on Earth. A related concept is that of progenote. The LUCA is not thought to be the first life on Earth, but rather the latest that is ancestral to all current existing life.REF: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Last_universal_common_ancestor].
39 |
|
Those who deny our signs are deaf, dumb (silent), and in the darkness. Whoever Allah wants, He leaves him misguided; whoever He wants, He sets him on a straight path.
40 |
|
Say, “Do you see? If the punishment of Allah comes to you or the time of final hour of judgment comes to you, will you be calling other than Allah if you have been truthful?”
41 |
|
But when you call upon Him alone, He will remove the harm you call upon Him for, if He wills, and you will forget those (others) you associate with.
42 |
|
We sent messengers to the nations before you, and We held (took) them (the wrongdoers) in suffering and hardship so they might become humble.
43 |
|
Why not? When suffering comes to them from us, they become submissive. But it hardened their hearts, and Shaitan presents their deeds favorably.
44 |
|
Then, when they forgot what they were reminded of, We opened the gates of everything. Until they rejoiced with what they were given, (then) We suddenly took hold of them, and they became despaired.
45 |
|
Then the roots of the unjust nations were cut off. And all the praise be to Allah, Rabb of the Universe.
46 |
|
Say, “Do you see? If Allah took away your hearing and eyesight and sealed your hearts, who is God other than Allah who will bring these back to you?” See how We explain the signs, but then they turn away.
47 |
|
Say, “Do you see? If the punishment of Allah comes to you suddenly or openly, then who will be destroyed except the nation of the unjust?
48 |
|
We did not send the messengers except to deliver good news and as warners. Then, those who believe in reform have nothing to fear and will not be grieved.
49 |
|
And for those who deny Our signs, punishment will occur because they were unrighteous.
50 |
|
Say, “I do not say to you that I have treasures of Allah with me, nor do I (say to you that I) know the unseen, nor do I say to you that I am an angel. I only follow what is inspired to me.” Say, “Are the blind and the sighted individuals considered equal? Do you not think?”
51 |
|
And warn those who fear, with this (Message of the Quran), that they will be gathered towards their Rabb. No one except Him is a Supporter and Intercessor so that they may become fearful.
52 |
|
And do not drive away those who call their Rabb. In the mornings and evenings, they want (they are looking to) His direction—nothing for you in their account, nothing for them in your account. If you drive them away, then you will be among the unjust.
53 |
|
That is how We try some of them with others; they may say, “Are these the ones Allah has favored among us?” Is Allah not Aware of the ones who are grateful?
54 |
|
And when those who believe in Our verses come to you, say, “Salamun Alaikum, Allah has written the Mercy on Himself. Whoever among you does misdeed due to ignorance, and then repents after that and reforms, then indeed He is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.”
55 |
|
And that is how We elaborate on the Ayats-Signs to make it clear the path of the culprits (how they deviate from Ayats-Signs).
56 |
|
Say, “I am forbidden to worship those you call to other than Allah.” Say, “I do not follow your desires; else, I will be misguided, and then I will not be among the guided.”
57 |
|
Say, “I am on clear proof from my Rabb, and you deny it. What you ask to expedite is not on me (in my power); this is only a decision for Allah. He accurately Tells you the truth and is the best Decision-Maker.”
58 |
|
Say, “If it were upon me to expedite what you are asking, then the matter would have been decided between you and me. And Allah Knows the best about the unjust.”
59 |
|
And with Him are the keys of the unseen; no one knows except Him. And He Knows what is on the land and in the sea. Not a leaf falls off, but He knows it, and there is no piece of seed (grain) (hidden) in the darkness of the earth, nor is there anything moist or dry except in a clear record.
60 |
|
He is the one Who Causes you to die (or let you have a full share) in the night, and He knows what you declare unreliably (or cause to hurt, plan to invalidate a testimony) in the morning. Then He Will resurrect you to decide after a fixed period (after a settled life term). Then towards Him, you will be returned, then He will inform you what you were doing.
61 |
|
He is the Subduer, The Almighty, over his slaves (humankind), and He sends guards on you (for protection) until, when death comes to one of you, Our messengers (angels) take a full share of him (God has taken him Unto HIM) and they do not let him escape (death).
62 |
|
Then they will be returned to Allah, their True Sovereign Ruler. Is He, not the Final Judge? He is Fast in the accounts.
63 |
|
Say, "Who rescues you from the darkness of the land and the oceans?" You call Him humbly and secretly (saying): "If We are rescued from this, we shall be among the thankful."
64 |
|
Say, “Allah rescues you from this and every distress, yet you make partners with Him.”
65 |
|
Say, “He has the power to punish you from above you or below your feet. Or He can confuse you, divide you into groups, and make you taste suffering from each other. See how We turn (their) attention to the signs, so maybe they will understand.”
66 |
|
And your nation denied this, while this is the truth. Say, “I am not in charge of you.”
67 |
|
Every announcement (matter) is a settlement (for every matter there is a decision to settle down, a final answer); soon, you will know.
68 |
|
And when you see those engage in discussion to examine (and to mislead) our verses, turn away from them until they are involved in other discussions. When the devil causes you to forget, do not sit with the unjust people once you remember.
69 |
|
And the righteous are not held accountable for them (unrighteous) on anything, but it is a remembrance so that maybe they will fear (Allah). (righteous are not responsible for what others do, but it is a reminder).
70 |

And leave those who take their faith for play and amusement and whom the life of this world has deceived. And (but) mention that soul (shall not) become fearless of what it will earn. (There will be) No support and no intercession for him other than Allah. Even if he wants to amend (change) any (in his deeds) deviation, nothing will be accepted for it (as a ransom to change). These are the ones who are hopeless because of what they have earned. For them, a drink from scalding water and a painful punishment because they have been ungrateful.
71 |
|
Say, “Should we call other than Allah, that has no benefit to us and no harm to us, and (should) we turn on our heels after Allah has guided us; like the one who is seduced (attracted, prepared) by shaitans in the earth and confused by him. While his companions call him: ‘Come to us for the guidance’?” Say, “Guidance by Allah is the (only) guidance, and we are commanded to be submitted to Rabb of the Universe.”
72 |

“And that to establish prayer and be fearful of Him for He is the one to whom you will be gathered.”
73 |

He is the one who created the universe and the earth with the truth (as the reality). On the day (when) He says, “Be,” (and) it is done. His word is the truth, and for Him is the kingdom on the day when the trumpet will be blown. He Knows the unseen and the seen, and He is the Most-Wise, Most-Informed.
74 |
|
And when Abraham said to his father Azara, “Do you hold idols-images as gods? I see you and your nation in a clear falsehood.”
75 |
|
That is how We showed Abraham the kingdom of the universe and earth for him to be convinced (absolute-certain).
76 |
|
Then when the night became dark on him, he saw a star. Said, “This is my Rabb.” But when it set, he said, “I do not love the transitory (things to be as god)."
77 |
|
Then he saw the moonrise; he said, “This is my Rabb.” But when it set, he said, “If my Rabb does not guide me, then I will surely be from the nation of falsehood.”
78 |
|
Then, when he saw the sunrise, he said, “This is my Rabb; this is bigger.” But when it (sun) set, he said, “O my nation, I am absolved from what you make partners.
79 |
|
I am directing my attention (and) aiming to the One Who gave the nature to the universe and the earth, as a True Believer, and I am not among those who make partners.”
80 |

And his nation argued with him. He said, “Do you argue with me in Allah when He has guided me? I am not afraid of what you make partners with Him unless my Rabb desires anything. My Rabb encompasses everything in His Knowledge. Do you not remember (can you not notice, bear in mind)?
81 |
|
And why should I be afraid of those you make partners with (Allah)? And (while) you do not fear that you are making partners with Allah, for which you have not been sent down any authority? Which group is more correct in faith (belief) if you know?”
82 |

Those who believe and do not confuse (mix up) their faith with wrongdoing, it is they who have security, and they are rightly guided.

And this is Our argument, which We gave to Abraham against his people, We raise ranks to whom We Will. Indeed, your Rabb is Wise, Knowing.

Indeed, Allah splits the seeds, and the date pits. He lets life come out from the dead and produces the dead from the living. That is your Allah. So, where (how) do you separate? [Note: Germination is usually the growth of a plant contained within a seed; it results in seedling formation. It is also the process of reactivation of metabolic machinery of the seed resulting in the emergence of radicle and plumule. The seed of a vascular plant is a small package produced in a fruit or cone after the union of male and female reproductive cells. All fully developed seeds contain an embryo and, in most plant species, some store food reserves, wrapped in a seed coat. Some plants produce varying numbers of seeds that lack embryos; these are empty seeds that never germinate. Dormant seeds are viable seeds that do not germinate because they require specific internal or environmental stimuli to resume growth. Under proper conditions, the seed begins to germinate, and the embryo resumes growth, developing into a seedling. Ref. Wikipedia].

And He's the one Who sends down water from the sky. We bring out plants of everything; then We bring out greenery from it; then We bring out seeds from it assembled in layers. From the palm trees with spadix closely bunched together, gardens of grapes, olive trees, and pomegranates resemble (and some) do not resemble one another (similar and dissimilar varieties of fruits). Look at fruits when fruits grow and how they ripen. In these, there are signs for the nation who believe. [Note.: Flowering plants produce seeds that are then dispersed from their parent. When a seed comes to rest in an appropriate place with conditions suitable to its germination, it breaks open. The embryo inside the seed starts to grow into a seedling. Roots grow down to anchor the plant in the ground. Roots also take up water and nutrients and store food. A shoot grows skywards and develops into a stem that carries water and nutrients from the roots to the rest of the plant. The stem also supports leaves so they can collect sunlight. Leaves capture sunlight to make energy for the plant through the process of photosynthesis. Adult plants produce flowers. When the seedling matures into an adult plant and is ready to reproduce, it develops flowers. Flowers are special structures involved in sexual reproduction, which involves both pollination and fertilization. This iris flower has petals shaped to form landing stages for visiting insects and bright yellow 'land here' signs. Pollination Pollination is the process by which pollen is carried (by wind or animals such as insects or birds) from the male part of a flower (the anther) to the female part (the stigma) of another or the same flower. The pollen then moves from the stigma to the female ovules. Fertilization Pollen has male gametes containing half the normal chromosomes for that plant. After pollination, these gametes move to the ovule, where they combine with female gametes, which also contain half the quota of chromosomes. This process is called fertilization. After fertilization, the combined cell grows into an embryo inside a seed. The embryo is a tiny plant with root, stem, and leaf parts ready to grow into a new plant when conditions are right. Length of life cycle Flowering plants all go through the same life cycle stages, but the length of time they take varies widely between species. Some plants go through their complete cycle in a few weeks – others take many years. https://www.sciencelearn.org.nz/resources/101-the-seed-flower-life-cycle[.

And He is the one who grew gardens, (some are) raised high and others not raised high and the palm trees, and the diverse agriculture (wide varieties) for consumption, and olives and pomegranate, (in type) of similar kind and different kind. Eat from the fruit when it is beneficial (ripe fruits are softer, sweeter, and more brightly colored), give their share (to the needy) on the day of harvest, and do not waste. Truly, Allah does not love those who waste. [NOTE: With a nearly endless variety of fruit trees from which to choose, selecting the right tree is often confusing. However, if garden space is a consideration, selecting the best size is critical. Fruit trees range from demure, low-maintenance dwarf varieties to standard-sized trees, with semi-dwarf trees in the middle. Dwarf: At mature heights of only 6 to 12 feet, dwarf fruit trees are the smallest fruit trees, although sweet cherries, at mature heights of 12 to 14 feet, are slightly taller than most dwarf trees. Apricot, peach and nectarine trees grow to 6 to 8 feet, while dwarf pear trees generally top out at about 12 feet. Dwarf fruit trees are easy to care for, and most are suitable for planting in the ground or growing in containers. Although the tree is small, the fruit is standard size. Semi-Dwarf: Semi-dwarf fruit trees are in the middle range of the spectrum -- larger than dwarf varieties but smaller than standard trees. As a general rule, semi-dwarf trees are about 60 to 90 percent of the height of a standard tree -- between approximately 14 and 22 feet, depending on the type of tree. Although they are smaller than standard trees, caring for the tree isn't difficult because the size is manageable. Semi-dwarf trees tend to be very productive. Standard: Standard-sized trees are the largest fruit trees, although mature height depends on the type of tree. For example, standard-sized nectarine and peach trees are naturally small at only 12 to 15 feet, while sweet cherry trees reach towering heights of up to 35 feet, depending on the variety. Apricots reach heights of 15 to 20 feet, while plum and pear trees generally grow to 18 to 20 feet. Tall fruit trees include apple trees, which grow 30 feet or more. While standard-size trees provide the most fruit, the trees are more difficult to harvest and prune. REF: https://homeguides.sfgate.com/].

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu Kamran Shaikh, Thank you for your valuable advice on adding a Quranic Lexicon to increase the understanding of the Quran. This task would require a team of scholars to research the historical context and include the latest scientific proofs to explain the definitions and meanings backed by research references. We have already included a few references, such as the supernova explosion with the plasma jet stream in Surah Tariq. We invite interested audiences with expertise in the scientific community to establish a committee and work together to publish a Qur'anic Lexicon to improve our understanding of the Al-Quran and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who received the Glorious Al-Quran. Walakum Assalam, Fahad, Appreciate your comment. The root words are normally listed in separate alphabets, but the reader of the Quran will not easily identify the words of Quranic Ayats. The Dictionary of the Modern Literary Language Compiled and Arranged by MAAN ZULFI MADINA shows the root word most closely listed in written forms. Checking in the dictionary on pp-371, the word used is صِرَاط with the meanings of way and path. The word for ارض is shown as أَرَض. The word wrapping sometimes becomes a problem in the data and should be ارض. There are a few words that will be updated to be the same as shown in the dictionary. We will keep updating the root words as shown in the dictionary. Originally the work was developed in excel with the link function and find function of root words in the Quran. Assalam u Alaikum We appreciate your comment. In order to use the dictionaries, the words are arranged according to roots. Arabic words are listed under their roots. The knowledge of Arabic Sarf (Morphology) and Nahw (Syntax) is required to understand the meaning. Please read the pp ix of the dictionary, ( ARRANGEMENT AND SEQUENCE OF ENTRIES). May Allah Subhanahu Wa-Ta'ala reward you for your efforts.

Assalam u Alakum Qaisrani, We appreciate your comment. ALLAH HAS SPOKEN THE GREATEST TRUTH, was added to be read after the recitation of Al-Quran as a regular practice. We agree with your comment that these lines are not part of Al-Quran and should not number as a continuation of Ayats. We will remove these lines on the next upgrade. It has become part of the database at present, and for now, we will add clarifications to these lines. Please let us know if you find any other mistakes for corrections or provide us with your suggestions for improvements. May Allah Subhanahu Wa-Ta'ala reward you for your efforts.
