||
||
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful and the Most Compassionate
1 |
|
Haam Meem | ||
2 |
|
The Revelation of the Book from Allah the Most Powerful Omniscient.
3 |
|
Forgiver of sins, Acceptor of repentance, Almighty firm to follow with the unbounded extension to pursue punishment. There is no God except Him. The return is to Him.
4 |
|
None disputes the verses-signs of Allah except those who are nonbelievers. Their walking in the town should not deceive you. (Activities of nonbelievers look normal, like walking in the city, that should not deceive you that Allah will not Judge them).
5 |
|
The nation of Noah denied before them, and the confederates after them. Every nation planned to seize its messengers. They disputed (quarreled, argued with messengers) to defeat the truth with their falsehood. Then (but) I seized them. What a punishment it was!
6 |
|
This is how the Word of your Rabb is justified on those who disbelieved; they are companions of the Fire.
7 |
|
Those who carry the Throne and those around it glorify the praises of their Rabb and believe in Him and seek forgiveness for those who believe. (praising Him how far He is from imperfection) “O our Rabb, You have encompassed everything in Mercy and Knowledge; forgive those who repent and follow Your path, and save them from the punishment of Hell.
8 |
|
Our Rabb, enter them in Gardens of Paradise, which You have promised them, and whoever did righteous deeds among their forefathers, spouses, and offspring. You are the Most Powerful, the Wisest.
9 |
|
And guard them against evil deeds. Whoever You protected from the misfortune of that Day, he is the one You have Mercy on. And that is the greatest success.”
10 |
|
Those who disbelieve will be called upon that, “The hate of Allah is greater than your hate of yourselves when you were called for the belief, but you did not believe.” (now you are hating yourself? but Allah hated you more when you denied becoming a believer).
11 |
|
They will say, “Our Rabb, You gave us death twice, and You gave us life twice. Now we accept our sins. So, is there any way out?” (Note: Two lives are, 1st this life and 2nd resurrection on the day of judgment, however, for non-believers, there are two deaths, one end of this life and also being in Hell is like more than death. But for believers, there is only one death. Allah knows Best).
12 |
|
That is because when Allah alone was called upon (mentioned), you disbelieved, but when you made a partner with Him, you believed. The judgment of Allah is the Highest and the Greatest.
13 |
|
He shows you His signs and sends provisions of life from the sky (heaven) for you. And (but) they do not remember except those who repent.
14 |
|
So, call upon Allah with sincerity (integrity, devotion, faithfully) according to His religion, even though the nonbelievers detest it.
15 |
|
Exalted in Rank, Owner of the Throne. He conveys (puts) the divine (message) with His command to whomever He wants among His worshippers to warn of a Day of encounter (of the meeting on Judgement Day).
16 |
|
On the day they appear, nothing about them will be hidden from Allah. “For Whom is the kingdom of the Day, Allah, only One, the Almighty who subdues everything.”
17 |
|
On that Day, every soul will be rewarded with what they have earned. There will be no injustice on that Day. Allah is Fast in keeping accounts.
18 |
|
And warn them of the Day drawing near, when the hearts will reach to their throats in grieve. There will be nobody for the unjust as a friend, intercessor,or to obey (listen, help)
19 |
|
He Knows the distrust in eyes and what they hide in their hearts.
20 |
|
And Allah Judges (Decides) with the truth, and those they call other than Allah cannot judge (do not judge) anything. Allah, Who is the All-Hearing and All-Knowing.
21 |
|
Do they not travel on the earth and see the punishment for those before them? They were stronger than them and left more impressions on the earth. But Allah seized them due to their sins, and there was nobody to protect them from Allah.
22 |
|
Messengers came to them with clear signs, but they were unjust (denied the Messengers), so Allah held them. He is the Most Powerful and Severe in Punishment.
23 |
|
And indeed, We sent Musa with Our signs and clear (apparent) authority (proof).
24 |
|
To Firon, Haman, and Qaroon. But they said, “(Musa is) a lying magician.”
25 |
|
Then, when he came to them with the truth from Us, they said, “Slaughter the sons of those who believed in him and spare their women.” But the planning of the nonbelievers was only a falsehood (an error).
26 |
|
And Firon said, “Leave me; I will kill Musa and let him call his Rabb. I fear they will change your way of life (religion) or spread mischief on the earth.”
27 |
|
And Musa said, “I seek refuge with my Rabb and your Rabb against every tyrant who does not believe in the Day of the Account.”
28 |
|
And a believing man from the family of Firon who was hiding his belief said, “Are you going to kill a man who says, ‘My Rabb is Allah,’ and he came with clear signs from your Rabb? If he is a liar, on him his lies (his work of lies will come back to him), but if he is truthful, you will suffer from some of what is promised to you. Allah does not guide who is an excessive (and) liar.
29 |
|
O, my nation! Today for you is the kingdom (what you see as) evident on the earth, but who will help us (when) Allah will make us suffer (the punishment) when it comes to us?” Firon said, “I only show you what I see and guide you the right way.”
30 |
|
The one who had believed said, “O my nation, I fear for you as the day of confederates (reckoning came to the earlier groups).
31 |
|
Like the nation of Noah, Aad and Samood, and those after them, were persistent (in denying the messengers). Allah does not desire to do injustice to His slaves.
32 |
|
O my nation, I fear for you the Day of the Summoning.
33 |
|
The Day when you turn and flee, nobody will protect you from Allah. Whomever Allah leaves misguided; then there is nobody to guide him.”
34 |
|
And indeed, Yusuf came to you before with clear signs, but you slipped in doubt about what came to you. Until he died, you said, “Allah will never raise a Messenger after this.” Like that, Allah leaves them misguided, those who exceed (and) doubt.
35 |
|
Those who dispute the signs of Allah without authority that has come to them, and it is immense hate near Allah and believers. Like that, Allah stamps out the heart of every arrogant tyrant.
36 |
|
And Firon said, “O Haman, build for me a palace so that maybe I will reach with the means (rope).
37 |
|
Means to reach the skies so I may come up to the God of Musa, though I think he is a liar.” That is how We presented evil deeds favorable for Firon and prevented him from the path (of guidance). The conspiracy of Firon was only for destruction.
38 |
|
He who believed (in the teachings of Musa) said, “O my nation, follow me, and I will guide you to the right way.”
39 |
|
“O my nation, nothing is in the life of this world but (temporary) enjoyment with provisions, but the Hereafter is the Place of Permanence.
40 |
|
Whoever did evil will be rewarded only equivalent to that. But whoever did righteous deeds, male or female, and is a believer, will be entered into the Gardens of Paradise, where they will be provided provisions without an account.
41 |
|
Oh, my nation, What do I have? It is that I call you towards salvation (safety), and you call me towards the Fire?
42 |
|
You call me to be unjust with Allah and for me to make partners with Him that I do not know of, while I call you towards the Most Powerful, the Most Forgiving.
43 |
|
There is no doubt that what you call me towards has no case (appeal) in this world or the Hereafter, and we will be returning to Allah; the transgressors will be companions of the Fire.
44 |
|
Then, soon you will remember what I say to you, so I entrust (delegate) my matter (affairs) to Allah. Allah is All-Seeing to His worshippers.
45 |
|
So, Allah protected him from the evils of what they tempted while surrounding the family of Firon with a grievous punishment.
46 |
|
The Fire. It is presented on them in the mornings and evenings. And on the Day, the Time will stand: The people of Firon will enter to more severe punishment.”
47 |
|
As they will dispute in the Fire, the weaker will say to those who were deemed greater, “We were your followers; can you manage (save) us from sharing (a part) of the Fire?”
48 |
|
Those who were arrogant will say, “We are all in this (together); Allah has judged between His slaves.”
49 |
|
And those in the Fire will say to the keepers of Hell, “Call to your Rabb to decrease the punishment from us for a day.”
50 |
|
They will say, “Did your Messengers not come to you with clear signs?” They will say, “Yes.” They will say, “Then call, and the call of the ungrateful will only be in loss.”
51 |
|
Indeed, surely, We will help Our Messengers and those who believe in the life of this world, and on the Day, the witnesses will stand.
52 |
|
The day when there is no benefit for the unjust for their excuses. For them are a curse and a home of misery.
53 |
|
And indeed, We guided Musa and made the children of Israel inheritors of the Book.
54 |
|
Guidance and remembrance for the intelligent.

So, be patient. The promise of Allah is truth. And ask for forgiveness of your sins and glorify Him with praise in the nights and the mornings.

Indeed, those who dispute the signs of Allah without (any) proof coming to them, in their hearts is only arrogance (that they think they are better, higher rank), which they will never attain. So, seek forgiveness from Allah; for He is All Listening and Acutely Aware.
57 |

Surely the creation of the universe and the earth is bigger than creating humankind, but many of humanity do not know.

It is not equal, the blind and the seeing. Nor are those who believe and do righteous deeds (similar) to the evildoers. How little is what you remember (learn)?

64 |

Allah is the One who made the earth a resting place for you and made the sky. And gave you shape (appearance, fashion), good shape (improved your body), and provided you with means of livelihood from the good. That is Allah, your Rabb; so, blessed is Allah, Rabb of the universe.
65 |

There is no god except Him. He is forever living. So, call (follow) to Him purely for His religion. Praise for Allah, Rabb of the universe.
66 |

Say, “I am forbidden from worshipping those that you call other than Allah, now that clear signs came to me from my Rabb, and I was ordered to submit to the Rabb of the universe.”

He is the One who created you from the dust (earth, dirt, soil), then from the sperm, and then from the hanging (embryo implantation), brought you out as an infant, then let you reach to become strong (youth, adulthood), then let you become old. Some of you are given death sooner for an appointed time (end of the human life cycle) so that you may understand.

He is the One who gives you life and death, and when it is decided on the matter, He says for it to be, and so, it happens.

That is what you were happy with on the earth without justification and with what you were rejoicing (happy, satisfied).
76 |

Enter the gates of Hell to live therein forever. What a miserable place for the arrogant.
77 |

So, be patient. The promise of Allah is the truth. Then if, We show you some of what We promised them, or We give you death, towards Us they will be returned.
78 |
|
We sent Messengers before you. Some of them whom We have narrated to you and some of them whom We have not narrated to you. It is not for any Messenger that a verse (sign) comes except with the permission of Allah. Then, when the order of Allah comes, it is decided with justice, and falsehood is lost there.
79 |

Allah is the One Who made grazing livestock, some for you to ride and some to eat.
80 |
|
And there are profits for you in them, and through them, you satisfy your needs to (ride) reach where you plan. And (to ride) on them, and the ships, you are carried.
81 |

And He shows you His signs. So, which of the signs of Allah are you denying?
82 |
|
Do they not travel on Earth to see the results of those before them? They were more and stronger in power than them and more influential on the Earth. But what they earned was no benefit (use) for them.
83 |
|
When their Messengers came to them with clear signs, they (denied and) were happy (content) with what was with them from the knowledge (previous generations), and mockery (of messengers) surrounded them.
84 |
|
Then, when they saw Our calamity, they said, “We believe in Allah only, and we deny with what we were making partners.”
85 |
|
Then (but) their belief was not going to profit (to be useful for) them (after) when they saw Our calamity. This is the way of Allah (for those who are) passed, bygone (of time) in dealing with His slaves. There is a loss over there for the ungrateful. |

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu Kamran Shaikh, Thank you for your valuable advice on adding a Quranic Lexicon to increase the understanding of the Quran. This task would require a team of scholars to research the historical context and include the latest scientific proofs to explain the definitions and meanings backed by research references. We have already included a few references, such as the supernova explosion with the plasma jet stream in Surah Tariq. We invite interested audiences with expertise in the scientific community to establish a committee and work together to publish a Qur'anic Lexicon to improve our understanding of the Al-Quran and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who received the Glorious Al-Quran. We are grateful to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala for this blessing and strive to understand His message and seek His forgiveness. We appreciate your encouraging comments. Kindly inform us of any errors or suggestions for improvements. May Allah Subhanahu Wa-Ta'ala reward you for your efforts. Jazaka Allahu Khairan: May Allah reward you with good.Response:

Assalamualaikum, Thank you for your inquiry. I have used the root for اتقوا as تَقَى; however, وَقَى, has the same meaning when used as a verb. If we use, “those who are afraid of Allah”, we can use وَقَى, as root words. If we use “those who are devout, and pious”, then we can use تَقَى, as the root word. Walakum Assalam, Fahad, Appreciate your comment. The root words are normally listed in separate alphabets, but the reader of the Quran will not easily identify the words of Quranic Ayats. The Dictionary of the Modern Literary Language Compiled and Arranged by MAAN ZULFI MADINA shows the root word most closely listed in written forms. Checking in the dictionary on pp-371, the word used is صِرَاط with the meanings of way and path. The word for ارض is shown as أَرَض. The word wrapping sometimes becomes a problem in the data and should be ارض. There are a few words that will be updated to be the same as shown in the dictionary. We will keep updating the root words as shown in the dictionary. Originally the work was developed in excel with the link function and find function of root words in the Quran. Now we have used SQL to upload the files. May Allah Subhanahu Wa-Ta'ala reward you for your efforts. Jazaka Allahu Khairan: ًجزاك اللهُ خيرا “May Allah reward you with good.”Response:
