||
||
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.
1 |
|
Alif Lam Raa. We have sent down to you a Book to bring humankind from darkness to light with the permission of their Rabb, on a path to the Most Powerful and the Most Praiseworthy.
2 |
|
Allah is the One to Whom belongs whatever is in the universe and the earth. And for the nonbelievers, there is the calamity of a painful punishment.
3 |
|
Those who prefer (love) the life of this world rather than the Hereafter, and they oppose the path of Allah and seek deviation, are on a far-reaching falsehood.
4 |
|
We did not send a messenger except in the same language as the people (spoke) to make it evident to them. Allah leaves them misguided to whomever He desires and guides whomever He desires. And He is the Most Powerful, the Wisest.
5 |
|
And We sent Musa with Our signs: "Bring your nation out of darkness and into the light, and remind them with the days (times) of Allah (the time when they were asking help from Allah to rescue from Firon)." In this, there are signs for every thankful patient person.
6 |
|
And when Musa said to his nation, “Remember blessings of Allah on you, when He rescued you from the family of Firon, who used to punish you with terrible suffering, and they used to slaughter your sons and (while) let your women live. And in this, for you, was a great test from your Rabb.”
7 |
|
And when your Rabb announced: “If you become thankful, then there is more (reward) for you, but if you become ungrateful, then My punishment is very severe.”
8 |
|
And Musa said, “Even if you become ungrateful along with whoever is on the earth altogether. Allah is free of any need (from anybody), and He is All Praiseworthy.”
9 |
|
Has not the news of those before you reached you, the people of Noah, Ad, and Thamud? And those after them. No one knows them except Allah. Their messengers came to them with evident proof, but they returned (put) their hands on their mouths, and they said, “We disbelieved in what you were sent and doubtful of what you called us to believe".
10 |
|
Their messengers said, “Do you doubt in Allah, The Creator of the universe and the earth? He is calling you to forgive your sins, and He will delay you up to an appointed period (give you time to repent and forgive).” They said, “You are only but a man like us; you desire that we turn away from what our forefathers were worshipping, so bring us clear proof.”
11 |
|
Their messengers said, “We are only a man like you, but Allah grants favor to whoever He desires from His slaves. It is not for us that we can bring you proof with authority (evidence), except with the permission of Allah. And the believers put their trust in Allah.”
12 |
|
"And why should we not trust Allah when He has already guided our path? "We will be patient with you on what you harm us.". And on Allah is the trust of those who are trusting."
13 |
|
Those who were ungrateful said to their messengers, “We will drive you out of our land unless you revert to our nation.” Then their Rabb inspired them, “We are going to destroy the unjust.”
14 |
|
“And We will inhabit you in the earth after them. That is for whoever fears opposing (resisting) Me and fears what is promised (the punishment).
15 |
|
And they (Messengers, Prophets) asked (Allah) to grant victory, and every (stubborn disbelieving) tyrant (who was) resisting stubbornly was unsuccessful (failed and uprooted).
16 |
|
Behind him is Hell, and he will be made to drink from the liquid of pus (dead blood cells).
17 |
|
It will be poured down through his throat, and about to (will not be able to) swallow it. Death will come to him from every direction, but he will not die—and from behind him (will follow him) a harsh punishment.
18 |
|
The example of those who are ungrateful to their Rabb, their deeds: are like burnt ashes, violently blown away in the wind on a stormy day. What they have earned, will not amount to anything. That is (because they were in) far-away misguidance.
19 |
|
Do you not see that Allah has created the universe and earth with the truth (suitable, fitting, perfect)? If He Desires, He Can take you away and bring (replace you with) a new creation.
20 |
|
And that will not be difficult on Allah.
21 |
|
And they will appear before Allah altogether. Then the weak will say to those who are arrogant (strong). “We have been your followers; can you be of any use to save us from the punishment of Allah? They would say, “If Allah had guided us, we would have guided you. It is equal to us; whether we feel sorry or become patient, we cannot escape.”
22 |
|
And the Shaitan will say when the matter is decided, Indeed, “Allah has promised you the real promise, and I promised you, but I contradicted you. I had no authority (control) on you, except that I invited you, and you responded for me, so do not blame me and blame yourselves. It is not for me to cry for help for you, and you do not cry for help for me. Indeed, I renege with what you made me partner (with Allah) before. The unjust, for them, is a painful punishment.”
23 |
|
And (But) those who believed and did righteous deeds, will be entered into the Gardens, with rivers running below them, living therein forever with the permission of their Rabb. Greetings for them in there will be: “Peace be on you.”
24 |
|
Do you not see how Allah gives an example of a good word (decent talk)? Like a good tree, its roots are established and towering high in the sky.
25 |
|
It brings out its food every time with the permission of its Rabb. Allah provides humanity with examples that they may remember (bear in mind).
26 |
|
An example of indecent talk is like a bad tree uprooted from above the earth, and there is nothing in it to stabilize (root).
27 |
|
Allah firmly establishes those who believe with firm words in the life of this world and the Hereafter. Allah leaves the unjust misguided. Allah does what He desires.
28 |
|
Do you not see to those who have changed (responded) blessings of Allah with ungratefulness and justified (made) their nation the place of destruction?
29 |
|
Hell, they will burn therein. What a wretched resting place.
30 |
|
They made partners equal for Allah to misguide from His path. Say, "Enjoy yourselves; you will eventually come to the Fire."
31 |
|
Tell My worshippers who believed in establishing the prayers and spend from what We have provided them, secretly and openly, before a day comes when there will be no deal to be made and no friend (to help).
32 |
|
Allah is the One who created the universe and the earth, sent down water from the sky, and brought out fruits from it as provisions for livelihood for you. And subjugated ships for your (use) to run their course in the ocean from His command and the rivers for your utilization (service).
33 |
|
He subjugated the sun and the moon; both persevere their course and subjugated (employed) night and the day for you (to your benefit).
34 |
|
And He has given you all that you asked Him. And if you count the favors of Allah, you cannot count them (they are countless, innumerable to calculate). Indeed, humankind is unjust and ungrateful.[(Note. The natural systems orchestrated by Allah that benefit humans are countless. A few examples to consider include: All living things are made up of proteins, each with different roles in the organism. They form bones and muscles, release hormones, and powerful immune system responses, to name a few. Each protein comprises its own unique sequence of the same 20 amino acids that are found in all life on Earth. Our connection to Nature is embedded in the cells we are made of, in the resources we use to live, and even in the vibrations that come from our magnetic field. Nature has amazing systems for providing constant sources of energy and nutrients, in a variety of forms, to support the many complex and diverse communities of thousands of species and their ecosystems. Earth is primarily protected from cosmic radiation by its magnetic field, called the magnetosphere, which deflects most charged particles from the sun and space away from the planet, effectively acting as a shield around the Earth; the atmosphere also plays a role in absorbing the remaining radiation that manages to reach. Days are due to the Earth's rotation, the sun is the energy source, and the moon stabilizes Earth's rotation)].
35 |
|
And (recall) that when Ibrahim said, “O my Rabb, make this town a peaceful place and keep my descendants and me away (apart, removed) from worshipping the idols.”
36 |
|
“O my Rabb, they have misled many of the humankind. Whoever follows me, then he will be from me, and whoever will disobey me, then You are Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.
37 |
|
“O our Rabb, I have settled down my family in a valley with nothing to grow, near your Sacred House, O our Rabb, for them to establish prayers. So, put passions in the hearts of humankind towards them, and provide them with a source of sustenance from the fruits, so that they may give thanks to You.
38 |
|
“O our Rabb, You Know what we hide and what we disclose. And nothing is hidden from Allah on the earth and nothing in the sky.”
39 |
|
“Praise for Allah, the One Who has granted me, in my old age, Ismail and Ishaq (Isak). Indeed, my Rabb listens to the calls (prayers).”
40 |
|
“O my Rabb, make me establisher of prayers, and from my offspring. O our Rabb, accept my prayers.”
41 |
|

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu Kamran Shaikh, Thank you for your valuable advice on adding a Quranic Lexicon to increase the understanding of the Quran. This task would require a team of scholars to research the historical context and include the latest scientific proofs to explain the definitions and meanings backed by research references. We have already included a few references, such as the supernova explosion with the plasma jet stream in Surah Tariq. We invite interested audiences with expertise in the scientific community to establish a committee and work together to publish a Qur'anic Lexicon to improve our understanding of the Al-Quran and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who received the Glorious Al-Quran. Walakum Assalam, Fahad, Appreciate your comment. The root words are normally listed in separate alphabets, but the reader of the Quran will not easily identify the words of Quranic Ayats. The Dictionary of the Modern Literary Language Compiled and Arranged by MAAN ZULFI MADINA shows the root word most closely listed in written forms. Checking in the dictionary on pp-371, the word used is صِرَاط with the meanings of way and path. The word for ارض is shown as أَرَض. The word wrapping sometimes becomes a problem in the data and should be ارض. There are a few words that will be updated to be the same as shown in the dictionary. We will keep updating the root words as shown in the dictionary. Originally the work was developed in excel with the link function and find function of root words in the Quran. Now we have used SQL to upload the files. May Allah Subhanahu Wa-Ta'ala reward you for your efforts. Jazaka Allahu Khairan: ًجزاك اللهُ خيرا “May Allah reward you with good.”Response:
