سورة الرعد - 13 - |
||
|
بِسْمِ ٱللّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ |
||
| In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate. | ||
| 1 |
الٓمٓر ۚ تِلْكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ ۗ وَٱلَّذِىٓ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ ٱلْحَقُّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ﴿1﴾ |
إِلَى,
|
| Alif Laam Meem Raa. These are the verses of the Book, and what is revealed to you from your Rabb is the truth, but most people do not believe it. | ||
| 2 |
ٱللّٰهُ ٱلَّذِى رَفَعَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ بِغَيْرِ عَمَدٍۢ تَرَوْنَهَا ۖ ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ ۖ وَسَخَّرَ ٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ ۖ كُلٌّۭ يَجْرِى لِأَجَلٍۢ مُّسَمًّۭى ۚ يُدَبِّرُ ٱلْأَمْرَ يُفَصِّلُ ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ لَعَلَّكُم بِلِقَآءِ رَبِّكُمْ تُوقِنُونَ﴿2﴾ |
جَرَى,
|
| Allah is the One who raised the universe high, expanded, and erected it without visible pillars. After that, He sat on the Throne and subjugated (made) the sun and the moon, each to follow its course up to a fixed appointed period. He plans, (organizes, and manages) everything, and provides the details of the verses-signs so that you may believe in the meeting of your Rabb. [(Note. This Ayat may indicate the gravitational force that is not seen but holds together galaxies, stars, planets, and even dark energy that expands the universe. Dark energy has been the most accepted premise to account for the accelerated expansion)]. | ||
| 3 |
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى مَدَّ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ وَأَنْهَٰرًۭا ۖ وَمِن كُلِّ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ جَعَلَ فِيهَا زَوْجَيْنِ ٱثْنَيْنِ ۖ يُغْشِى ٱلَّيْلَ ٱلنَّهَارَ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ﴿3﴾ |
ثَمَرَ,
|
| He is the One who spread the earth and put the mountains and the rivers in it. And He Made (developed) all (kinds of) the fruits with pairs of two. (Allah created a diverse array of fruit, each in complementary pairs). He covers the night with the day. Indeed, there are signs for the people who think. | ||
| 4 |
وَفِى ٱلْأَرْضِ قِطَعٌۭ مُّتَجَٰوِرَٰتٌۭ وَجَنَّٰتٌۭ مِّنْ أَعْنَٰبٍۢ وَزَرْعٌۭ وَنَخِيلٌۭ صِنْوَانٌۭ وَغَيْرُ صِنْوَانٍۢ يُسْقَىٰ بِمَآءٍۢ وَٰحِدٍۢ وَنُفَضِّلُ بَعْضَهَا عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ فِى ٱلْأُكُلِ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَعْقِلُونَ﴿4﴾ |
فَضَلَ,
|
| And in the earth, there are adjacent sections (areas with different geological features that lie close together) and gardens of grapes, cultivation, and palm trees with branches and without branches; they all are fed with the one (same) water. And We cause some to excel others in (quality of) eating. These are the signs meant for those who can comprehend. | ||
| 5 |
۞ وَإِن تَعْجَبْ فَعَجَبٌۭ قَوْلُهُمْ أَءِذَا كُنَّا تُرَٰبًا أَءِنَّا لَفِى خَلْقٍۢ جَدِيدٍ ۗ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِرَبِّهِمْ ۖ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلْأَغْلَٰلُ فِىٓ أَعْنَاقِهِمْ ۖ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ﴿5﴾ |
كَفَرَ,
|
| If you are surprised, then surprises are their words: “When we become dust, will we be in a new (another life) creation?” They are the ones who disbelieve in their Rabb. They are (the ones) who will be wearing collars around their necks. And they will be companions of the Fire and live therein forever. | ||
| 6 |
وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ قَبْلَ ٱلْحَسَنَةِ وَقَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِمُ ٱلْمَثُلَٰتُ ۗ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُو مَغْفِرَةٍۢ لِّلنَّاسِ عَلَىٰ ظُلْمِهِمْ ۖ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَشَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ﴿6﴾ |
أَنِسَ,
|
| And they ask you to expedite the grief (of punishment) before the good (the reward of doing good), though examples (of punishment and destruction caused by doing sins) have already passed before them. Indeed your Rabb forgives humankind for their injustice; certainly, your Rabb is severe in the punishment. | ||
| 7 |
وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَةٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦٓ ۗ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُنذِرٌۭ ۖ وَلِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ هَادٍ﴿7﴾1ع |
نَزَلَ,
|
| And the nonbelievers say, “Why is a sign not sent down on him from his Rabb?” You are only a warner, and every nation has a guide. | ||
| 8 |
ٱللّٰهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَحْمِلُ كُلُّ أُنثَىٰ وَمَا تَغِيضُ ٱلْأَرْحَامُ وَمَا تَزْدَادُ ۖ وَكُلُّ شَىْءٍ عِندَهُۥ بِمِقْدَارٍ﴿8﴾ |
عَلِمَ,
|
| Allah knows what is carried in the wombs of the females, and with every decrease and increase in the wombs. And with Him, everything is measured. | ||
| 9 |
عَٰلِمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ ٱلْكَبِيرُ ٱلْمُتَعَالِ﴿9﴾ |
غَابَ,
|
| He knows the invisible and the visible. And He is the Greatest, the Exalted. | ||
| 10 |
سَوَآءٌۭ مِّنكُم مَّنْ أَسَرَّ ٱلْقَوْلَ وَمَن جَهَرَ بِهِۦ وَمَنْ هُوَ مُسْتَخْفٍۭ بِٱلَّيْلِ وَسَارِبٌۢ بِٱلنَّهَارِ﴿10﴾ |
قَالَ,
|
| (To Him) You (all) are equal, whether one keeps secret his words or one who announces (declares) it, whether he secretly hides in the darkness of night or visible in the day. | ||
| 11 |
لَهُۥ مُعَقِّبَٰتٌۭ مِّنۢ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِۦ يَحْفَظُونَهُۥ مِنْ أَمْرِ ٱللّٰهِ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللّٰهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّىٰ يُغَيِّرُوا۟ مَا بِأَنفُسِهِمْ ۗ وَإِذَآ أَرَادَ ٱللّٰهُ بِقَوْمٍۢ سُوٓءًۭا فَلَا مَرَدَّ لَهُۥ ۚ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن دُونِهِۦ مِن وَالٍ﴿11﴾ |
يَدَيَ,
|
| For his protection, (angels) follow him in front and behind him, carrying out Allah's command. Indeed, Allah Does not change what is in the nation until they change what is in themselves. And if Allah desires harm for a nation, then there is no returning (of harm), and there is nobody for them other than Him to support them. | ||
| 12 |
هُوَ ٱلَّذِى يُرِيكُمُ ٱلْبَرْقَ خَوْفًۭا وَطَمَعًۭا وَيُنشِئُ ٱلسَّحَابَ ٱلثِّقَالَ﴿12﴾ج |
بَرَقَ,
|
| He is the One who shows you the lightning, as fear and hope. And He is the One Who drives the heavy clouds. [(Note word-heavy: A 1 cubic kilometer (km3) cloud contains 1 billion cubic meters. Doing the math: 1,000,000,000 x 0.5 density = 500,000,000 grams of water droplets in our cloud. That is about 500,000 kilograms or 1.1 million pounds about 551 tons of water in every cubic km)]. | ||
| 13 |
وَيُسَبِّحُ ٱلرَّعْدُ بِحَمْدِهِۦ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ مِنْ خِيفَتِهِۦ وَيُرْسِلُ ٱلصَّوَٰعِقَ فَيُصِيبُ بِهَا مَن يَشَآءُ وَهُمْ يُجَٰدِلُونَ فِى ٱللّٰهِ وَهُوَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْمِحَالِ﴿13﴾ط |
جَدَلَ,
|
| The thunder (caused by thunderbolts) praises Him with His glory, as do the angels in His fear. And He sends the thunderbolts (in storms), which fall on whoever He desires. Yet they argue about Allah, while He is the One Strong, Cunning (very effective, crafty in using special resources such as skill or knowledge or attaining an end). | ||
| 14 |
لَهُۥ دَعْوَةُ ٱلْحَقِّ ۖ وَٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِۦ لَا يَسْتَجِيبُونَ لَهُم بِشَىْءٍ إِلَّا كَبَٰسِطِ كَفَّيْهِ إِلَى ٱلْمَآءِ لِيَبْلُغَ فَاهُ وَمَا هُوَ بِبَٰلِغِهِۦ ۚ وَمَا دُعَآءُ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ إِلَّا فِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ﴿14﴾ |
دَعَا,
|
| To Him are the true calls (to call Him in prayer is right). And those whom they call upon besides Allah do not respond to them in anything, except like someone opening the palms of his hand to the water to reach his mouth, but it does not reach him. What are the calls of nonbelievers, except falsehood? | ||
| 15 |
وَلِلّٰهِ يَسْجُدُ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ طَوْعًۭا وَكَرْهًۭا وَظِلَٰلُهُم بِٱلْغُدُوِّ وَٱلْـَٔاصَالِ ۩﴿15﴾ |
سَمَا,
|
| To Allah prostates whatever is in the universe and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, as do their shadows in the mornings and the evenings. ۩ Prostration | ||
| 16 |
قُلْ مَن رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ قُلِ ٱللّٰهُ ۚ قُلْ أَفَٱتَّخَذْتُم مِّن دُونِهِۦٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ لِأَنفُسِهِمْ نَفْعًۭا وَلَا ضَرًّۭا ۚ قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِى ٱلْأَعْمَىٰ وَٱلْبَصِيرُ أَمْ هَلْ تَسْتَوِى ٱلظُّلُمَٰتُ وَٱلنُّورُ ۗ أَمْ جَعَلُوا۟ لِلّٰهِ شُرَكَآءَ خَلَقُوا۟ كَخَلْقِهِۦ فَتَشَٰبَهَ ٱلْخَلْقُ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ قُلِ ٱللّٰهُ خَٰلِقُ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ وَهُوَ ٱلْوَٰحِدُ ٱلْقَهَّٰرُ﴿16﴾ |
أَخَذَ,
|
| Say, “Who is Rabb of the universe and the earth?” Say, “Allah.” Say, “(Why) have you then taken other than Him as supporters, who do not own themselves (are not capable of doing) any benefit or harm?” Say, “Are the blind and the seeing equal? Or are darkness and light equal? Or do they make partners for Allah? Can they create like His creation? So, is the creation (their creation and His creation looks) similar to them? Say, “Allah created everything, and He is the Only Subduer (subjugator).” | ||
| 17 |
أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ فَسَالَتْ أَوْدِيَةٌۢ بِقَدَرِهَا فَٱحْتَمَلَ ٱلسَّيْلُ زَبَدًۭا رَّابِيًۭا ۚ وَمِمَّا يُوقِدُونَ عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلنَّارِ ٱبْتِغَآءَ حِلْيَةٍ أَوْ مَتَٰعٍۢ زَبَدٌۭ مِّثْلُهُۥ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يَضْرِبُ ٱللّٰهُ ٱلْحَقَّ وَٱلْبَٰطِلَ ۚ فَأَمَّا ٱلزَّبَدُ فَيَذْهَبُ جُفَآءًۭ ۖ وَأَمَّا مَا يَنفَعُ ٱلنَّاسَ فَيَمْكُثُ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يَضْرِبُ ٱللّٰهُ ٱلْأَمْثَالَ﴿17﴾ط |
نَار,
|
| He sends down water from the sky, flooding the valleys according to their capacity. The flood carries excess foam. People use what they ignite in the fire to craft jewelry or objects of necessities of life that rise after foam-like. That is how Allah gives an example of truth and falsehood. As for the foam, it goes as useless (like falsehood), but what is beneficial for humankind settles down on the earth. That is how Allah gives examples. | ||
| 18 |
لِلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَجَابُوا۟ لِرَبِّهِمُ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ ۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ لَمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا۟ لَهُۥ لَوْ أَنَّ لَهُم مَّا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًۭا وَمِثْلَهُۥ مَعَهُۥ لَٱفْتَدَوْا۟ بِهِۦٓ ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ سُوٓءُ ٱلْحِسَابِ وَمَأْوَىٰهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ ۖ وَبِئْسَ ٱلْمِهَادُ﴿18﴾2ع |
جَهَنَّم,
|
| For those who responded to their Rabb, they are the best. But those who do not respond to Him, even if they possess for them whatever is in the earth altogether, and twice as much, they will offer to pay as ransom with it (to escape from Hell). For them is a harmful account; their dwelling is Hell, and what a wretched resting place. | ||
| 19 |
۞ أَفَمَن يَعْلَمُ أَنَّمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ ٱلْحَقُّ كَمَنْ هُوَ أَعْمَىٰٓ ۚ إِنَّمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ﴿19﴾لا |
نَزَلَ,
|
| Is the one who knows that what has been revealed to you from your Rabb is the truth, be same as one who is blind to this fact? Only those of understanding will remember. | ||
| 20 |
ٱلَّذِينَ يُوفُونَ بِعَهْدِ ٱللّٰهِ وَلَا يَنقُضُونَ ٱلْمِيثَٰقَ﴿20﴾لا |
نَقَضَ,
|
| Those who fulfill their commitments with Allah and do not break the oaths. | ||
| 21 |
وَٱلَّذِينَ يَصِلُونَ مَآ أَمَرَ ٱللّٰهُ بِهِۦٓ أَن يُوصَلَ وَيَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ وَيَخَافُونَ سُوٓءَ ٱلْحِسَابِ﴿21﴾ط |
وَصَلَ,
|
| And they establish the ties that Allah has commanded to connect and fear their Rabb and are afraid of the harmful (results of their) account. | ||
| 22 |
وَٱلَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا۟ ٱبْتِغَآءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِمْ وَأَقَامُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَأَنفَقُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ سِرًّۭا وَعَلَانِيَةًۭ وَيَدْرَءُونَ بِٱلْحَسَنَةِ ٱلسَّيِّئَةَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ عُقْبَى ٱلدَّارِ﴿22﴾لا |
رَدَفَ,
|
| And those who are patient and seek their Rabb's direction, establish prayers and spend from what We have provided to them, secretly and openly, and repel bad with the good. For them is the home that follows (to retreat). | ||
| 23 |
جَنَّٰتُ عَدْنٍۢ يَدْخُلُونَهَا وَمَن صَلَحَ مِنْ ءَابَآئِهِمْ وَأَزْوَٰجِهِمْ وَذُرِّيَّٰتِهِمْ ۖ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ يَدْخُلُونَ عَلَيْهِم مِّن كُلِّ بَابٍۢ﴿23﴾ج |
دَخَلَ,
|
| They will enter the Gardens of Paradise, along with those who did righteous deeds, among their fathers (forefathers, ancestors), husbands, wives, and offspring. And the angels will come to see them (welcome) at every door. | ||
| 24 |
سَلَٰمٌ عَلَيْكُم بِمَا صَبَرْتُمْ ۚ فَنِعْمَ عُقْبَى ٱلدَّارِ﴿24﴾ط |
دَارَ,
|
| “Peace is on you because of what you have been patient. Comfort and luxury will be for them in the home that follows (retreat)”. | ||
| 25 |
وَٱلَّذِينَ يَنقُضُونَ عَهْدَ ٱللّٰهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مِيثَٰقِهِۦ وَيَقْطَعُونَ مَآ أَمَرَ ٱللّٰهُ بِهِۦٓ أَن يُوصَلَ وَيُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۙ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمُ ٱللَّعْنَةُ وَلَهُمْ سُوٓءُ ٱلدَّارِ﴿25﴾ |
فَسَدَ,
|
| As for those who break their agreement with Allah, after their covenant (contract, treaty) and they cut off what Allah has ordered to join, and they spread corruption in the earth, those, for them, a curse, and for them is the miserable home (turn). | ||
| 26 |
ٱللّٰهُ يَبْسُطُ ٱلرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيَقْدِرُ ۚ وَفَرِحُوا۟ بِٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَمَا ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ إِلَّا مَتَٰعٌۭ﴿26﴾3ع |
بَسَطَ,
|
| Allah abundantly spreads the provisions (means of livelihood) for whomever He desires and Provides Measured. And they become happy with the life of this world; nothing is the life of this world (compare) to the Hereafter (life of this world, it is only temporary) enjoyment. | ||
| 27 |
وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَةٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ ۗ قُلْ إِنَّ ٱللّٰهَ يُضِلُّ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهْدِىٓ إِلَيْهِ مَنْ أَنَابَ﴿27﴾ج صلے |
نَزَلَ,
|
| Those who are nonbelievers say, “Why has a sign not been sent down on him from his Rabb?” Say, “Allah leaves whoever He desires to be misguided, and He guides towards Him who turns repentantly from time to time to Allah.” | ||
| 28 |
ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَتَطْمَئِنُّ قُلُوبُهُم بِذِكْرِ ٱللّٰهِ ۗ أَلَا بِذِكْرِ ٱللّٰهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ ٱلْقُلُوبُ﴿28﴾ط |
أَ مُنَ,
|
| Those who believe and are satisfied in their hearts with the remembrance of Allah. It is that remembrance of Allah that satisfies the hearts. | ||
| 29 |
ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ طُوبَىٰ لَهُمْ وَحُسْنُ مَـَٔابٍۢ﴿29﴾ |
أَ مُنَ,
|
| And for those who believed and did righteous deeds, goodness (pleasures) will be for them, and what a good place reserved (for a person). | ||
| 30 |
كَذَٰلِكَ أَرْسَلْنَٰكَ فِىٓ أُمَّةٍۢ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهَآ أُمَمٌۭ لِّتَتْلُوَا۟ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْكَ وَهُمْ يَكْفُرُونَ بِٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ۚ قُلْ هُوَ رَبِّى لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْهِ مَتَابِ﴿30﴾ |
رَسِلَ,
|
| That is how We sent you to the nation where many generations before were vacant (from messengers), for you to recite what We have revealed to you. (Yet the disbelievers) they disbelieve in the Merciful. Say, “He is my Rabb; there is no God except Him; in Him I trust, and to Him, I repent.” | ||
| 31 |
وَلَوْ أَنَّ قُرْءَانًۭا سُيِّرَتْ بِهِ ٱلْجِبَالُ أَوْ قُطِّعَتْ بِهِ ٱلْأَرْضُ أَوْ كُلِّمَ بِهِ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ ۗ بَل لِّلّٰهِ ٱلْأَمْرُ جَمِيعًا ۗ أَفَلَمْ يَا۟يْـَٔسِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَن لَّوْ يَشَآءُ ٱللّٰهُ لَهَدَى ٱلنَّاسَ جَمِيعًۭا ۗ وَلَا يَزَالُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ تُصِيبُهُم بِمَا صَنَعُوا۟ قَارِعَةٌ أَوْ تَحُلُّ قَرِيبًۭا مِّن دَارِهِمْ حَتَّىٰ يَأْتِىَ وَعْدُ ٱللّٰهِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللّٰهَ لَا يُخْلِفُ ٱلْمِيعَادَ﴿31﴾4ع |
أَ مُنَ,
|
| Even if there was a Quran that moves the mountains, the earth is split into pieces, or by which dead will speak by this. Allah has the (final) Authority altogether. Doesn't this make it hopeless for those who believed? If Allah desired, He would have guided all of humankind altogether. And for nonbelievers, calamity will not cease to strike them (still reach them) because of what they have been fabricating or strike (break up) near their homes until the promise of Allah comes. Allah Does Not Break the promise. | ||
| 32 |
وَلَقَدِ ٱسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍۢ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَأَمْلَيْتُ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهُمْ ۖ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ﴿32﴾ |
هَزِىءَ,
|
| And already they made a mockery with messengers before you, but I gave a long time for those who disbelieved, and then I seized them. What a punishment it was! | ||
| 33 |
أَفَمَنْ هُوَ قَآئِمٌ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ نَفْسٍۭ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ ۗ وَجَعَلُوا۟ لِلّٰهِ شُرَكَآءَ قُلْ سَمُّوهُمْ ۚ أَمْ تُنَبِّـُٔونَهُۥ بِمَا لَا يَعْلَمُ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَم بِظَٰهِرٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْقَوْلِ ۗ بَلْ زُيِّنَ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مَكْرُهُمْ وَصُدُّوا۟ عَنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ ۗ وَمَن يُضْلِلِ ٱللّٰهُ فَمَا لَهُۥ مِنْ هَادٍۢ﴿33﴾ |
كَفَرَ,
|
| Is He who stands on every soul (Watching) what they earned? And (Yet) they made partners for Allah. Say, “Name them! Or do you inform Him about what He does not know on earth, or is it evident from the words?” (Your imagination of other gods uttered from your mouth) In fact, it is decorated for those who disbelieve and oppose the path (of Allah). Whoever is let go as misguided by Allah, then there is no one for him to guide. | ||

لَّهُمْ عَذَابٌۭ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ أَشَقُّ ۖ وَمَا لَهُم مِّنَ ٱللّٰهِ مِن وَاقٍۢ﴿34﴾ |
عَذُبَ,
|
| For them is punishment in the life of this world, and the punishment of the Hereafter is more troublesome (difficult). And there is nobody for them to protect from Allah. | ||
| 35 |
۞ مَّثَلُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ ٱلَّتِى وُعِدَ ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ ۖ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ ۖ أُكُلُهَا دَآئِمٌۭ وَظِلُّهَا ۚ تِلْكَ عُقْبَى ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوا۟ ۖ وَّعُقْبَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ ٱلنَّارُ﴿35﴾ |
جَرَى,
|
| An example for those who have fear is the promised garden and rivers running below them, with everlasting food and shade. This is the eternal resort (retreat) for those who fear, and the eternal resort (retreat) for the nonbelievers is the Fire. | ||
| 36 |
وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ يَفْرَحُونَ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ ۖ وَمِنَ ٱلْأَحْزَابِ مَن يُنكِرُ بَعْضَهُۥ ۚ قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ ٱللّٰهَ وَلَآ أُشْرِكَ بِهِۦٓ ۚ إِلَيْهِ أَدْعُوا۟ وَإِلَيْهِ مَـَٔابِ﴿36﴾ |
نَزَلَ,
|
| Those given the Book are happy with what is sent to you, while some of the group deny some. Say, “I am ordered to worship Allah and not make partners with Him. To Him, I call, and towards Him is my return (a reserved place of person).” | ||
| 37 |
وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ حُكْمًا عَرَبِيًّۭا ۚ وَلَئِنِ ٱتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَآءَهُم بَعْدَمَا جَآءَكَ مِنَ ٱلْعِلْمِ مَا لَكَ مِنَ ٱللّٰهِ مِن وَلِىٍّۢ وَلَا وَاقٍۢ﴿37﴾5ع |
تَبِعَ,
|
| That is how We send down commands in Arabic. And If you follow their desires, after what came to you in your knowledge, there will be no one for you other than Allah as a supporter and protector. | ||
| 38 |
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلًۭا مِّن قَبْلِكَ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُمْ أَزْوَٰجًۭا وَذُرِّيَّةًۭ ۚ وَمَا كَانَ لِرَسُولٍ أَن يَأْتِىَ بِـَٔايَةٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ ٱللّٰهِ ۗ لِكُلِّ أَجَلٍۢ كِتَابٌۭ﴿38﴾ |
جَعَلَ,
|
| And already We have sent down messengers before you, and We assigned wives and children for them. No messenger could bring a sign-verse except with the permission of Allah. For every era, there is a book. | ||
| 39 |
يَمْحُوا۟ ٱللّٰهُ مَا يَشَآءُ وَيُثْبِتُ ۖ وَعِندَهُۥٓ أُمُّ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ﴿39﴾ |
كَتَبَ,
|
| Allah eliminates and establishes what He Wills. He holds the source of the Book. | ||
| 40 |
وَإِن مَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعْضَ ٱلَّذِى نَعِدُهُمْ أَوْ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ ٱلْبَلَٰغُ وَعَلَيْنَا ٱلْحِسَابُ﴿40﴾ |
بَعَضَ,
|
| And whether, We show you (in your lifetime) some of what We have promised them, or We cause you to die, only (responsibility) on you is the communication, and on Us is the account. | ||
| 41 |
أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّا نَأْتِى ٱلْأَرْضَ نَنقُصُهَا مِنْ أَطْرَافِهَا ۚ وَٱللّٰهُ يَحْكُمُ لَا مُعَقِّبَ لِحُكْمِهِۦ ۚ وَهُوَ سَرِيعُ ٱلْحِسَابِ﴿41﴾ |
أَ رَضْ,
|
| Do they not see that We bring the earth, decreasing (reducing area under control by unbelievers) around them? Allah commands: nothing is going to hold back His decision. And He is fast in the account. | ||
| 42 |
وَقَدْ مَكَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَلِلّٰهِ ٱلْمَكْرُ جَمِيعًۭا ۖ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْسِبُ كُلُّ نَفْسٍۢ ۗ وَسَيَعْلَمُ ٱلْكُفَّٰرُ لِمَنْ عُقْبَى ٱلدَّارِ﴿42﴾ |
عَلِمَ,
|
| And already those before them made plans (plotted), but Allah has power over their deceiving plots altogether. He knows what is earned by every soul. And soon the non-believers will know for whom the punishment will be in the end. (Life in this world is not their last retreat or round, and they will be punished in the final round). | ||
| 43 |
وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَسْتَ مُرْسَلًۭا ۚ قُلْ كَفَىٰ بِٱللّٰهِ شَهِيدًۢا بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَكُمْ وَمَنْ عِندَهُۥ عِلْمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ﴿43﴾6ع |
كَفَرَ,
|
| Those who disbelieve say,” You are not a messenger (a person who is inspired to proclaim the will of God).” Say, “Allah is sufficient as a Witness between me and you and whoever has the knowledge of the Book.” |

The Dictionary of the Modern Literary Language Compiled and Arranged by MAAN ZULFI MADINA shows the root word most closely listed in written forms. Checking in the dictionary on pp-371, the word used is صِرَاط with the meanings of way and path. The word for ارض is shown as أَرَض. The word wrapping sometimes becomes a problem in the data and should be ارض. There are a few words that will be updated to be the same as shown in the dictionary. We will keep updating the root words as shown in the dictionary. Originally the work was developed in excel with the link function and find function of root words in the Quran.
