سورة عبس - 80 - |

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
||
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful and the Most Compassionate | ||
1 |
عَبَسَ وَتَوَلَّى |
وَلِيَ,
|
He frowned and turned away. | ||
2 |
أَن جَاءهُ الْأَعْمَى |
عَمِيَ,
|
That the blind person came to him. | ||
3 |
وَمَا يُدْرِيكَ لَعَلَّهُ يَزَّكَّى |
دَرَى,
|
And (but) do you not know? Maybe he will become purified (righteous). | ||
4 |
أَوْ يَذَّكَّرُ فَتَنفَعَهُ الذِّكْرَى |
نَفَعَ,
|
Or he will remember, and the remembrance will then benefit him. | ||
5 |
أَمَّا مَنِ اسْتَغْنَى |
غَنِيَ,
|
As for him, who was able to dispense (being rich). | ||
6 |
فَأَنتَ لَهُ تَصَدَّى |
صَدِيَ,
|
You gave him your attention. | ||
7 |
وَمَا عَلَيْكَ أَلَّا يَزَّكَّى |
زَكَا,
|
And it is not on you if he does not become righteous. | ||
8 |
وَأَمَّا مَن جَاءكَ يَسْعَى |
سَعَى,
|
And he who comes to you running. | ||
9 |
وَهُوَ يَخْشَى |
خَشَيَ,
|
While he is being fearful. | ||
10 |
فَأَنتَ عَنْهُ تَلَهَّى |
لَهَا,
|
To him you become oblivious. | ||
11 |
كَلَّا إِنَّهَا تَذْكِرَةٌ |
ذَكّرَ,
|
Do not. This is a remembrance. | ||
12 |
فَمَن شَاء ذَكَرَهُ |
شِاءَ,
|
Then, whoever desires, (this is) for his remembrance. | ||
13 |
فِي صُحُفٍ مُّكَرَّمَةٍ |
صحف,
|
In magnanimous pages. | ||
14 |
مَّرْفُوعَةٍ مُّطَهَّرَةٍ |
رَفَعَ,
|
Raised high and pure. | ||
15 |
بِأَيْدِي سَفَرَةٍ |
يَدَيَ,
|
By the hands of mediators. | ||
16 |
كِرَامٍ بَرَرَةٍ |
كَرُمَ,
|
Noble and dutiful. | ||
17 |
قُتِلَ الْإِنسَانُ مَا أَكْفَرَهُ |
أَنِسَ,
|
Mankind is destroyed due to what he has covered. | ||
18 |
مِنْ أَيِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقَهُ |
خَلَقَ,
|
From what, he has been created? | ||
19 |
مِن نُّطْفَةٍ خَلَقَهُ فَقَدَّرَهُ |
خَلَقَ,
|
He was created from the sperm and then he was given power. | ||
20 |
ثُمَّ السَّبِيلَ يَسَّرَهُ |
سَبَلَ,
|
Then the path was made easy for him. | ||
21 |
ثُمَّ أَمَاتَهُ فَأَقْبَرَهُ |
مَاتَ,
|
Then he is given death and put in a grave. | ||
22 |
ثُمَّ إِذَا شَاء أَنشَرَهُ |
شِاءَ,
|
Then when He (Allah) wills, he (person) will be raised. | ||
23 |
كَلَّا لَمَّا يَقْضِ مَا أَمَرَهُ |
أَ مَرَ,
|
But no, he did not fulfill (accomplished, carried out) what was directed to him. | ||
24 |
فَلْيَنظُرِ الْإِنسَانُ إِلَى طَعَامِهِ |
نَظَرَ,
|
Let the man see his food. (How We developed and managed to provide him the food) | ||
25 |
أَنَّا صَبَبْنَا الْمَاء صَبًّا |
مَا ءَ,
|
(First) We flow water pouring out in abundance. | ||
26 |
ثُمَّ شَقَقْنَا الْأَرْضَ شَقًّا |
أَ رَضْ,
|
(Second) Then crack the earth to split.(seeds splitting in the soil). | ||
27 |
فَأَنبَتْنَا فِيهَا حَبًّا |
نَبَتَ,
|
(Third) And We grew grain from it. | ||
28 |
وَعِنَبًا وَقَضْبًا |
عنب,
|
(Fourth) Bunch of grapes and herbs. | ||
29 |
وَزَيْتُونًا وَنَخْلًا |
نَخَلَ,
|
(Fifth) Olive oils and date palms. | ||
30 |
وَحَدَائِقَ غُلْبًا |
حَدَقَ,
|
(Sixth) And gardens predominantly. | ||
31 |
وَفَاكِهَةً وَأَبًّا |
فَكِهَ,
|
(Seventh) And fruits and vegetables. | ||
32 |
مَّتَاعًا لَّكُمْ وَلِأَنْعَامِكُمْ |
مَتَعَ,
|
(Eighth) Necessities (enjoyments) of life for you and your grazing livestock. | ||
33 |
فَإِذَا جَاءتِ الصَّاخَّةُ |
جَاءَ,
|
But when the Deafening Noise comes to you. | ||
34 |
يَوْمَ يَفِرُّ الْمَرْءُ مِنْ أَخِيهِ |
أ خو,
|
The Day men will run away from his brother. | ||
35 |
وَأُمِّهِ وَأَبِيهِ |
أَب,
|
And his mother and his father. | ||
36 |
وَصَاحِبَتِهِ وَبَنِيهِ |
صَحِبَ,
|
And his mate and his children. | ||
37 |
لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مِّنْهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ شَأْنٌ يُغْنِيهِ |
يَوْم,
|
For every man among them the Day (of Final Judgement) will be a matter that will keep him busy. | ||
38 |
وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُّسْفِرَةٌ |
يَوْم,
|
On that Day, their faces will be shining (glowing). | ||
39 |
ضَاحِكَةٌ مُّسْتَبْشِرَةٌ |
ضَحِكَ,
|
Laughing, cheerful, and happy at good news. | ||
40 |
وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَلَيْهَا غَبَرَةٌ |
يَوْم,
|
And faces on that Day will be dust. | ||
41 |
تَرْهَقُهَا قَتَرَةٌ |
رَهِقَ,
|
Overtaken by poverty (nothing for him). | ||
42 |
أُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْكَفَرَةُ الْفَجَرَةُ |
كَفَرَ,
|
Those, who are the ungrateful and the insolent. | ||
43 |
صدق الله العظيم |
صَدَقَ,
|
