||
||
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful and the Most Compassionate
1 |
|
O you who believe! Do not take My enemies and your enemies as your friends, you send to them messages of love, when they did not think with what came to you as the Truth. They drove away the Messenger, and you because you believed in Allah, your Rabb. If you are going out in fighting for My way, looking forward to My acceptance, how can you secretly send them messages of love? I know what you conceal and what you declare. Whoever does that among you, he is lost from the straight path.
2 |
|
If they meet you, they become enemies for you, and they extend their hands to you and their tongues to harm you. They would love for you to be nonbelievers (ungrateful).
3 |
|
Your blood relationships and your children will not benefit you on the Day of Standing. He will decide between you. Allah is acutely aware (have keen insight) with what do you do.
4 |
|
Indeed, there is a model example for you, Ibrahim and those with him; when they said to their nation, “We are absolved (free ourselves) from you and from what you worship other than Allah. We denounce you. The enmity and hate have become open between us and you, everlasting, until you believe in Allah alone.” Except the words of Ibrahim to his father, “I will ask for your forgiveness, though I do not have any authority for you from Allah in anything.” “O our Rabb, in You we trust, and we repent to you (turn to you for forgiveness) and towards You is our final destination.
5 |
|
O our Rabb do not make us a test (let us not do sins that will set us, as example) for those who did not believe, and forgive us, our Rabb. You are the Most Powerful, The Wisest.”
6 |
|
Indeed, in them (Ibrahim and those with him) there is an excellent model for whoever desires (to get close to) Allah on the day of the Hereafter. And (but) whoever turns away, Allah is the One who Has no need and the Praiseworthy.
7 |
|
Perhaps Allah will make friendship between you and between those who have been your enemies. Allah has All Control and Allah is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.
8 |
|
Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight with you in the faith nor drive you away from your homes, by being honest with them and being fair to them; Allah is the One who loves those who act justly.
9 |
|
(But) Allah only forbids you from those who fight with you in the faith, and drive you away from your homes, and helped on driving you away. Whoever turns towards them, those are the unjust.
10 |
|
O you who believe! When the believing immigrant women come to you, examine them. Allah knows of their beliefs. And if you know that those are believing women, do not return them to the non-believers. They are not lawful for them, nor are these (women) lawful for them (non-believers). But give them what they have spent. There is no blame on you that if you marry them, provided you give them their dues. And do not hold custody of the nonbelievers, but ask them what you have spent, and they should ask what they have spent. That is the verdict (judgment) of Allah. He gives decisions (judgments) among you. Allah is All-Knowing, the Wisest. (The Treaty of Hudaybiyyah (Arabic: صَلَح ٱلْحُدَيْبِيَّة, was an event that took place during the time of the prophet Muhammad (صَلَّى ٱللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ) (ṣallā llāhu ʿalayhī wa-ʾālihī wa-sallama). It was a pivotal treaty between Muhammad (صَلَّى ٱللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ) (ṣallā llāhu ʿalayhī wa-ʾālihī wa-sallama), representing the state of Medina, and the Qurayshi tribe of Mecca in January 628 (corresponding to Dhu al-Qi'dah, AH 6). It helped to decrease tension between the two cities, affirmed peace for a period of 9 years, 9 months, and 9 days, and authorized Muhammad's (صَلَّى ٱللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ) (ṣallā llāhu ʿalayhī wa-ʾālihī wa-sallama) followers to return the following year in a peaceful pilgrimage, later known as The First Pilgrimage)
11 |
|
If any eludes among your wives to the nonbelievers, and you subsequently follow (their wives come to you) then, given to those whose wives have come to you similarly like what they have spent. And fear Allah, in whom you are believers.
12 |
|
O you the prophet! If the believing women come to you, pledging to you, that they will not make partners with Allah in anything, nor steal, nor fornicate, nor kill their children, nor bring blame from their fabrication of lies from their hands and their feet, nor disobey you in that is good (kindness), then make a pledge of allegiance and ask for their forgiveness from Allah. Allah is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.
13 |
|
O you those who believe! Do not return to a nation that Allah has seized, and they are (as) hopeless for the Hereafter, as the hopelessness of the nonbelievers from the companions of the grave.
