بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم |
||
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful and the Most Compassionate | ||
1 |
وَالنَّجْمِ إِذَا هَوَى |
هَوَى,
|
By the star when it falls down (Black holes of stellar mass are expected to form when very massive stars collapse at the end of their life cycle. Ref: Wikipedia. Blown away, a neutron star -- the crushed innards of a massive star that long ago exploded as a supernova. Ref. NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center). | ||
2 |
مَا ضَلَّ صَاحِبُكُمْ وَمَا غَوَى |
ضَلَّ,
|
Your companion is not misled nor in error. | ||
3 |
وَمَا يَنطِقُ عَنِ الْهَوَى |
نَطَقَ,
|
Nor does he speak from desires. | ||
4 |
إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحْيٌ يُوحَى |
وَحَى,
|
That is but an inspiration. He (prophet) is inspired. (Through Angel Gabriel). | ||
5 |
عَلَّمَهُ شَدِيدُ الْقُوَى |
شَدَّ,
|
He is taught by the Strong, the Powerful. | ||
6 |
ذُو مِرَّةٍ فَاسْتَوَى |
سَوِيَ,
|
Possessed with transitioning. He became equal. (Transitioned to be equal like a human). | ||
7 |
وَهُوَ بِالْأُفُقِ الْأَعْلَى |
أُ فُقْ,
|
While he was at the high horizon. | ||
8 |
ثُمَّ دَنَا فَتَدَلَّى |
دَلْو,
|
Then he descended and came close. | ||
9 |
فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَى |
قَاب,
|
Then He was very close (length of) two bows or nearer. | ||
10 |
فَأَوْحَى إِلَى عَبْدِهِ مَا أَوْحَى |
عَبَدَ,
|
Then He inspired to His worshipper what was to be inspired. | ||
11 |
مَا كَذَبَ الْفُؤَادُ مَا رَأَى |
رَأَى,
|
The heart did not lie about what he saw. | ||
12 |
أَفَتُمَارُونَهُ عَلَى مَا يَرَى |
رَأَى,
|
Do you then doubt him on what he saw? | ||
13 |
وَلَقَدْ رَآهُ نَزْلَةً أُخْرَى |
رَأَى,
|
He saw his descent another time. | ||
14 |
عِندَ سِدْرَةِ الْمُنْتَهَى |
سَدِرَ,
|
Near the utmost end of the Lotus Tree. | ||
15 |
عِندَهَا جَنَّةُ الْمَأْوَى |
جَنَّ,
|
Near there is the Garden of the Shelter. | ||
16 |
إِذْ يَغْشَى السِّدْرَةَ مَا يَغْشَى |
غَشَا,
|
As the Lotus Tree is covered with what it was covered. | ||
17 |
مَا زَاغَ الْبَصَرُ وَمَا طَغَى |
طَغَا,
|
His eyes did not deviate, nor did they exceed the boundaries. | ||
18 |
لَقَدْ رَأَى مِنْ آيَاتِ رَبِّهِ الْكُبْرَى |
آ ىي -آية,
|
He saw the signs of his Rabb, the Great. | ||
19 |
أَفَرَأَيْتُمُ اللَّاتَ وَالْعُزَّى |
رَأَى,
|
Do you see the -lat and the -uzza? | ||
20 |
وَمَنَاةَ الثَّالِثَةَ الْأُخْرَى |
أخر,
|
And menat, the other, the third one? | ||
21 |
أَلَكُمُ الذَّكَرُ وَلَهُ الْأُنثَى |
ذَكّرَ,
|
Is for you the males and for Him the females? | ||
22 |
تِلْكَ إِذًا قِسْمَةٌ ضِيزَى |
قَسَمَ,
|
This is a bizarre (unfair) division. | ||
23 |
إِنْ هِيَ إِلَّا أَسْمَاء سَمَّيْتُمُوهَا أَنتُمْ وَآبَاؤُكُم مَّا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ بِهَا مِن سُلْطَانٍ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَمَا تَهْوَى الْأَنفُسُ وَلَقَدْ جَاءهُم مِّن رَّبِّهِمُ الْهُدَى |
سَمِي,
|
These are only names that you and your forefathers have assigned for which nothing was sent down from Allah on this. They only follow what they are guessing, and what their ego desires, and indeed, (even though) the guidance has already come to them from their Rabb. | ||
24 |
أَمْ لِلْإِنسَانِ مَا تَمَنَّى |
مَنَا,
|
Or for the mankind whatever he desires? | ||
25 |
فَلِلَّهِ الْآخِرَةُ وَالْأُولَى |
أخر,
|
Then for Allah is the conclusion and the very beginning (The decisions belong to Allah). | ||
26 |
وَكَم مِّن مَّلَكٍ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ لَا تُغْنِي شَفَاعَتُهُمْ شَيْئًا إِلَّا مِن بَعْدِ أَن يَأْذَنَ اللَّهُ لِمَن يَشَاء وَيَرْضَى |
شِاءَ,
|
How many from the angels are in the universe that not able to mediate in anything, except after Allah gives them permission for whomever He desires, and agrees? | ||
27 |
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ لَيُسَمُّونَ الْمَلَائِكَةَ تَسْمِيَةَ الْأُنثَى |
أَ مُنَ,
|
Indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter give the angels the names of the females. | ||
28 |
وَمَا لَهُم بِهِ مِنْ عِلْمٍ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَإِنَّ الظَّنَّ لَا يُغْنِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ شَيْئًا |
تَبِعَ,
|
They do not have any knowledge about this. They follow only the assumptions and the assumptions are not useful against the truth in anything. | ||
29 |
فَأَعْرِضْ عَن مَّن تَوَلَّى عَن ذِكْرِنَا وَلَمْ يُرِدْ إِلَّا الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا |
ذَكّرَ,
|
So, avoid him who turns away from Our remembrance and desires nothing but the life of this world. | ||
30 |
ذَلِكَ مَبْلَغُهُم مِّنَ الْعِلْمِ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن ضَلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنِ اهْتَدَى |
عَلِمَ,
|
That is their scope (reach) of knowledge. Your Rabb knows about who is lost from His way and He knows about who is guided. | ||
31 |
وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ لِيَجْزِيَ الَّذِينَ أَسَاؤُوا بِمَا عَمِلُوا وَيَجْزِيَ الَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا بِالْحُسْنَى |
عَمِلَ,
|
To Allah belongs whatever is in the universe and the earth. So He will compensate those who disobeyed (Allah) with their deeds and He Will reward those who did praiseworthy deeds with the good. | ||
32 |
الَّذِينَ يَجْتَنِبُونَ كَبَائِرَ الْإِثْمِ وَالْفَوَاحِشَ إِلَّا اللَّمَمَ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ وَاسِعُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِكُمْ إِذْ أَنشَأَكُم مِّنَ الْأَرْضِ وَإِذْ أَنتُمْ أَجِنَّةٌ فِي بُطُونِ أُمَّهَاتِكُمْ فَلَا تُزَكُّوا أَنفُسَكُمْ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنِ اتَّقَى |
عَلِمَ,
|
Those who avoid the bigger sins and immoralities, except slight mental derangements, your Rabb is the utmost in forgiveness. He is the One who knows about you when He created you from the earth, and when you were an embryo in the wombs of your mothers. So, do not ascribe purity to yourself; He knows who is afraid. | ||
33 |
أَفَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي تَوَلَّى |
رَأَى,
|
Do you then see who has turned away? | ||
34 |
وَأَعْطَى قَلِيلًا وَأَكْدَى |
قَلَّ,
|
And gave little and harmed (others) by artful machination? | ||
35 |
أَعِندَهُ عِلْمُ الْغَيْبِ فَهُوَ يَرَى |
غَابَ,
|
Does he has the knowledge of the unseen, and can foresee? | ||
36 |
أَمْ لَمْ يُنَبَّأْ بِمَا فِي صُحُفِ مُوسَى |
نَبَأَ,
|
Or has he not been informed with what was in the Books (Scrolls) of Musa? | ||
37 |
وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ الَّذِي وَفَّى |
وَفَى,
|
And Ibrahim, who has been faithful? | ||
38 |
أَلَّا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَى |
وَزَرَ,
|
Is it not (true) that you will not carry burdens of the others. | ||
39 |
وَأَن لَّيْسَ لِلْإِنسَانِ إِلَّا مَا سَعَى |
أَنِسَ,
|
And that there is nothing for the mankind except what he attempted (pursued, put efforts). | ||
40 |
وَأَنَّ سَعْيَهُ سَوْفَ يُرَى |
رَأَى,
|
And his attempts (what he pursued, put efforts) will soon be seen. | ||
41 |
ثُمَّ يُجْزَاهُ الْجَزَاء الْأَوْفَى |
جَزَى,
|
Soon he will be compensated according to his (portion) of compensation completely. | ||
42 |
وَأَنَّ إِلَى رَبِّكَ الْمُنتَهَى |
إِلَى,
|
And that to your Rabb will be the final conclusion. | ||
43 |
وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ أَضْحَكَ وَأَبْكَى |
ضَحِكَ,
|
And that He is the One who makes you laugh and makes you cry. | ||
44 |
وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ أَمَاتَ وَأَحْيَا |
حي,
|
And that He is the One who gives you death and gives your life. | ||
45 |
وَأَنَّهُ خَلَقَ الزَّوْجَيْنِ الذَّكَرَ وَالْأُنثَى |
خَلَقَ,
|
And that He is the One who created the pairs, the male, and the female. | ||
46 |
مِن نُّطْفَةٍ إِذَا تُمْنَى |
نَطَفَ,
|
From a semen drop when it is emitted. | ||
47 |
وَأَنَّ عَلَيْهِ النَّشْأَةَ الْأُخْرَى |
نَشَأَ,
|
And that upon him there will be another arisen, (hereafter). | ||
48 |
وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ أَغْنَى وَأَقْنَى |
غَنِيَ,
|
And that He is the One who enriches and gives acquisitions (properties, possessions). | ||
49 |
وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ رَبُّ الشِّعْرَى |
شَعَرَ,
|
And that He is the One who is the Rabb of the Sirius Star (Sirius is the brightest star in the night sky, 8.6 light years from earth). | ||
50 |
وَأَنَّهُ أَهْلَكَ عَادًا الْأُولَى |
هَلَكَ,
|
And that He is the One who destroyed Aad the first (originally). | ||
51 |
وَثَمُودَ فَمَا أَبْقَى |
بَقِىَ,
|
And Samood, there was nothing left. | ||
52 |
وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِّن قَبْلُ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا هُمْ أَظْلَمَ وَأَطْغَى |
قَبِلَ,
|
And nation of Noah from before; for they were more unjust and more transgressed. | ||
53 |
وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَةَ أَهْوَى |
هَوَى,
|
And the overturned cities were blown away. | ||
54 |
فَغَشَّاهَا مَا غَشَّى |
غَشَا,
|
And covered them with whatever covered them. | ||
55 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاء رَبِّكَ تَتَمَارَى |
رَبَّ,
|
So, what are the benefits (favors) of your Rabb that you are in doubt of? | ||
56 |
هَذَا نَذِيرٌ مِّنَ النُّذُرِ الْأُولَى |
نَذَرَ,
|
This is warning, just like the warning to the ancestors. | ||
57 |
أَزِفَتْ الْآزِفَةُ |
زَفَّ,
|
Has hastened (approached) the informed (Day of Final Judgment). | ||
58 |
لَيْسَ لَهَا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ كَاشِفَةٌ |
كَشَفَ,
|
Nothing other than Allah can uncover. | ||
59 |
أَفَمِنْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ تَعْجَبُونَ |
حَدَثَ,
|
Which of this occurrence are you surprised about? | ||
60 |
وَتَضْحَكُونَ وَلَا تَبْكُونَ |
بَكَى,
|
And you are laughing, and you are not crying? | ||
61 |
وَأَنتُمْ سَامِدُونَ |
سَمَدَ,
|
And you raise your heads proudly? | ||
62 |
فَاسْجُدُوا لِلَّهِ وَاعْبُدُوا |
عَبَدَ,
|
So, bow down for Allah and worship Him! ۩ Prostration | ||
63 |
صدق الله العظيم |
صَدَقَ,
|
