بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
||
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful and the Most Compassionate | ||
1 |
وَالطُّورِ |
طَوْر,
|
By the Mount Sinai (by the phase). | ||
2 |
وَكِتَابٍ مَّسْطُورٍ |
كَتَبَ,
|
By the written (recorded) Book. | ||
3 |
فِي رَقٍّ مَّنشُورٍ |
نَشَرَ,
|
In a scroll that is published. (In a stiff flat thin material made from the prepared skin of an animal and used as a durable writing surface in ancient and medieval times that is published). | ||
4 |
وَالْبَيْتِ الْمَعْمُورِ |
بَا تَ,
|
By the Home that is flourished. (House that is inhabited, civilized, constructed, & populated). | ||
5 |
وَالسَّقْفِ الْمَرْفُوعِ |
سَقَفَ,
|
By the ceiling (sky) raised high. | ||
6 |
وَالْبَحْرِ الْمَسْجُورِ |
بَحَرَ,
|
By the swollen sea. (Abnormally high-water levels pushed ahead of storms or hurricanes. Storm surge with large and destructive waves that “will cause catastrophic damage,). | ||
7 |
إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَاقِعٌ |
عَذُبَ,
|
Indeed, Punishment of your Rabb will occur. | ||
8 |
مَا لَهُ مِن دَافِعٍ |
دَفَعَ,
|
Nothing for it to repel with (push back, drive away). | ||
9 |
يَوْمَ تَمُورُ السَّمَاء مَوْرًا |
سَمَا,
|
On the Day, the transition of the sky (will be) in transition. | ||
10 |
وَتَسِيرُ الْجِبَالُ سَيْرًا |
جَبَلَ,
|
The motion (movement) of the mountains will be started. | ||
11 |
فَوَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
وَيْل,
|
So, the calamity on that Day for the liars. | ||
12 |
الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي خَوْضٍ يَلْعَبُونَ |
لَعِبَ,
|
Those who are absorbed (rushed, plunged, engaged) in playing. | ||
13 |
يَوْمَ يُدَعُّونَ إِلَى نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّا |
جَهَنَّم,
|
On Day they will be summoned to the Fire of Hell forcefully. | ||
14 |
هَذِهِ النَّارُ الَّتِي كُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ |
نَار,
|
“This is the Fire that you were in denial. | ||
15 |
أَفَسِحْرٌ هَذَا أَمْ أَنتُمْ لَا تُبْصِرُونَ |
بَصُرَ,
|
Is this magic or do you not see? | ||
16 |
اصْلَوْهَا فَاصْبِرُوا أَوْ لَا تَصْبِرُوا سَوَاء عَلَيْكُمْ إِنَّمَا تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ |
عَمِلَ,
|
Burn in there. Whether you become patient or you do not become patient, it is the same (equal) on you. You are being rewarded with what you were doing.” | ||
17 |
إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَنَعِيمٍ |
جَنَّ,
|
Indeed (but) the God-fearing will be in the gardens with the blessing (comforts and good provisions). | ||
18 |
فَاكِهِينَ بِمَا آتَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ وَوَقَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ عَذَابَ الْجَحِيمِ |
عَذُبَ,
|
In amusement because of what was given to them by their Rabb, and their Rabb saved (protected) them from the punishment of Hell. | ||
19 |
كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ |
عَمِلَ,
|
Eat and drink in happiness because of what you were doing. | ||
20 |
مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَى سُرُرٍ مَّصْفُوفَةٍ وَزَوَّجْنَاهُم بِحُورٍ عِينٍ |
سَرَّ,
|
Firmly established on the sofa lined up; and We will marry them with the Virgins of Paradise. | ||
21 |
وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَاتَّبَعَتْهُمْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُم بِإِيمَانٍ أَلْحَقْنَا بِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَمَا أَلَتْنَاهُم مِّنْ عَمَلِهِم مِّن شَيْءٍ كُلُّ امْرِئٍ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِينٌ |
أَ مَرَ,
|
Those who believed and their families who followed them in faith, We will join them with their offspring, We will not neglect their deeds in anything. Every soul is pledged (conditioned) to what he has earned. | ||
22 |
وَأَمْدَدْنَاهُم بِفَاكِهَةٍ وَلَحْمٍ مِّمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ |
فَكِهَ,
|
And We will supply them with fruits and meats and whatever they desire. | ||
23 |
يَتَنَازَعُونَ فِيهَا كَأْسًا لَّا لَغْوٌ فِيهَا وَلَا تَأْثِيمٌ |
نَزَعَ,
|
They will exchange therein glasses (for drinks), wherein it will neither cause them to speak null, nor to sin. | ||
24 |
وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ غِلْمَانٌ لَّهُمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لُؤْلُؤٌ مَّكْنُونٌ |
طَافَ,
|
And youthful servants will be making rounds on them (to serve), for them they will be like hidden pearls. | ||
25 |
وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ يَتَسَاءلُونَ |
بَعَضَ,
|
And some of them will come up to someone, asking. | ||
26 |
قَالُوا إِنَّا كُنَّا قَبْلُ فِي أَهْلِنَا مُشْفِقِينَ |
قَالَ,
|
They will say, “Before this, we were compassionate to our families. | ||
27 |
فَمَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا وَوَقَانَا عَذَابَ السَّمُومِ |
عَذُبَ,
|
Then (but) Allah favored us and saved us from the punishment of the Fiery Wind. | ||
28 |
إِنَّا كُنَّا مِن قَبْلُ نَدْعُوهُ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْبَرُّ الرَّحِيمُ |
دَعَا,
|
We used to call Him before this. He is the One who is the Most Kind, the Most Merciful.” | ||
29 |
فَذَكِّرْ فَمَا أَنتَ بِنِعْمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنٍ وَلَا مَجْنُونٍ |
نَعَمَ,
|
So, remind, With the grace of your Rabb, you are not a fortune teller nor possessed. | ||
30 |
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ شَاعِرٌ نَّتَرَبَّصُ بِهِ رَيْبَ الْمَنُونِ |
رَابَ,
|
Or do they say, “He is a poet, we are waiting for him to be afflicted with misfortune”? | ||
31 |
قُلْ تَرَبَّصُوا فَإِنِّي مَعَكُم مِّنَ الْمُتَرَبِّصِينَ |
رَبَصَ,
|
Say, “You wait; I am with you among the waiting.” | ||
32 |
أَمْ تَأْمُرُهُمْ أَحْلَامُهُم بِهَذَا أَمْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ |
أَ مَرَ,
|
Or do they get instructions in their dreams to do this? Or are they the nation of transgressors? | ||
33 |
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ تَقَوَّلَهُ بَل لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ |
قَالَ,
|
Or do they say, “These are his sayings”? But they do not believe. | ||
34 |
فَلْيَأْتُوا بِحَدِيثٍ مِّثْلِهِ إِن كَانُوا صَادِقِينَ |
صَدَقَ,
|
So, let them bring a creation (conversation, discussion) like this if they are truthful. | ||
35 |
أَمْ خُلِقُوا مِنْ غَيْرِ شَيْءٍ أَمْ هُمُ الْخَالِقُونَ |
شِاءَ,
|
Or were they created out of anything else? Or are they the creators? | ||
36 |
أَمْ خَلَقُوا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بَل لَّا يُوقِنُونَ |
يَقِنَ,
|
Or did they create the universe and the earth? In fact, they do not have certainty in knowledge. | ||
37 |
أَمْ عِندَهُمْ خَزَائِنُ رَبِّكَ أَمْ هُمُ الْمُصَيْطِرُونَ |
خَزَنَ,
|
Or with them are the treasures of your Rabb? Or are they the rulers? | ||
38 |
أَمْ لَهُمْ سُلَّمٌ يَسْتَمِعُونَ فِيهِ فَلْيَأْتِ مُسْتَمِعُهُم بِسُلْطَانٍ مُّبِينٍ |
سُلَط,
|
Or do they have ladders with them of which they (climb high to) listen? Then let them bring what they have listened to with clear proof. | ||
39 |
أَمْ لَهُ الْبَنَاتُ وَلَكُمُ الْبَنُونَ |
اِبْن,
|
Or for Him are the daughters and for them are the sons? | ||
40 |
أَمْ تَسْأَلُهُمْ أَجْرًا فَهُم مِّن مَّغْرَمٍ مُّثْقَلُونَ |
سَأَلَ,
|
Or do you ask them for a reward, so, they are loaded with its burden? | ||
41 |
أَمْ عِندَهُمُ الْغَيْبُ فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ |
كَتَبَ,
|
Or do they know the unseen (unknown, unseen knowledge) and they write it down? | ||
42 |
أَمْ يُرِيدُونَ كَيْدًا فَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا هُمُ الْمَكِيدُونَ |
كَفَرَ,
|
Or do they aim for a conspiracy, so, those nonbelievers are in the conspiracy? | ||
43 |
أَمْ لَهُمْ إِلَهٌ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ |
إِله,
|
Or do they have gods other than Allah? Praise to Allah, for He is above what they make partners. (He is above all needs to have partners). | ||
44 |
وَإِن يَرَوْا كِسْفًا مِّنَ السَّمَاء سَاقِطًا يَقُولُوا سَحَابٌ مَّرْكُومٌ |
قَالَ,
|
And if they see pieces of the sky breaking, they will say, “This is a stacked cloud.” | ||
45 |
فَذَرْهُمْ حَتَّى يُلَاقُوا يَوْمَهُمُ الَّذِي فِيهِ يُصْعَقُونَ |
يَوْم,
|
So, leave them until they meet the Day they will be stunned (destroyed). | ||
46 |
يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُمْ كَيْدُهُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ |
نَصَرَ,
|
The Day when nothing will avail them in their conspiracy; and they will not be helped. | ||
47 |
وَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا عَذَابًا دُونَ ذَلِكَ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ |
عَلِمَ,
|
For those who were unjust (there will be) punishment other than that; but many of them do not know. | ||
48 |
وَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ فَإِنَّكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ |
صَبَرَ,
|
So, be patient with the command of your Rabb, for you are in (front of) Our eyes; and glorify with praise of your Rabb when you stand. | ||
49 |
وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَإِدْبَارَ النُّجُومِ |
سَبَحَ,
|
And in the night, praise Him and at the returning of the stars (before sunrise). | ||
50 |
صدق الله العظيم |
صَدَقَ,
|
