Ayat Az-Zukhruf RootWords

سورة الزخرف - 43 -

بِسْمِ ٱللّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful and the Most Compassionate
1

حم ۚ ۛ

Haam Meem
2

وَالْكِتَابِ الْمُبِينِ ۙ ۛ

كَتَبَ,
بَا نَ,
By the Book of the clear (plain) evidence (proof).
3

إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاهُ قُرْآنًا عَرَبِيًّا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ ۚ

جَعَلَ,
قَرَأَ,
عَقَلَ,
عَذَرَ,
لَعَلَّ,
We brought this Quran in Arabic so that maybe you will understand.
4

وَإِنَّهُ فِي أُمِّ الْكِتَابِ لَدَيْنَا لَعَلِيٌّ حَكِيمٌ ؕ

كَتَبَ,
عَلَا,
حَكَمَ,
لَدَى,
أَ مَّ,
And indeed, this is heavenly original Book (Quran) from Us, with (full of) high wisdom.
5

أَفَنَضْرِبُ عَنكُمُ الذِّكْرَ صَفْحًا أَن كُنتُمْ قَوْمًا مُّسْرِفِينَ

ضَرَبَ,
ذَكّرَ,
سَرَف,
كَانَ,
قَامَ,
صَفَحَ,
Should We abstain from reminding you (and turn away and leave you) because you are an immoderate nation?
6

وَكَمْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن نَّبِيٍّ فِي الْأَوَّلِينَ

رَسِلَ,
ا و ل,
نَبَأَ,
كَم,
And how many prophets have We sent to the earlier ancestors (forefathers)?
7

َوَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن نَّبِيٍّ إِلَّا كَانُوا بِهِ َسْتَهْزِؤُونَ

هَزِىءَ,
نَبَأَ,
أَتَى,
كَانَ,
And no prophet came to them, but they mocked him.
8

فَأَهْلَكْنَا أَشَدَّ مِنْهُم بَطْشًا وَّمَضَى مَثَلُ الْأَوَّلِينَ

مَتَعَ,
شَدَّ,
ا و ل,
هَلَكَ,
بَطَشَ,
شَدَّ,
مَثَلَ,
مَضَى,
So, We destroyed strong among them, with force, and they were gone away (bygone, vanished) similar to the earlier ones.
9

وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ خَلَقَهُنَّ الْعَزِيزُ الْعَلِيمُ ۙ

خَلَقَ,
قَالَ,
سَمَا,
أَ رَضْ,
عَزَّ,
سَأَلَ,
عَلِمَ,
And if you asked them, “Who created the universe and the earth?” They would surely say, “They were created by the Most Powerful, the All-Knowing.”
10

الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ مَهْدًا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمْ فِيهَا سُبُلًا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ ۚ

جَعَلَ,
أَ رَضْ,
سَبَلَ,
هَدَى,
مَهْد,
لَعَلَّ,
He, Who made the earth a resting place for you and made paths in them so that you may get guidance (to seek His bounties and see His Creation).
11

وَالَّذِي نَزَّلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً بِقَدَرٍ ۚ فَأَنشَرْنَا بِهِ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتًا ۚ كَذَلِكَ تُخْرَجُونَ

سَمَا,
بَلَدَ,
مَاتَ,
نَزَلَ,
خَرَجَ,
مَا ءَ,
ذَا,
قَدَرَ,
نَشَرَ,
He is the One who sent down water from the sky in proportion (as much as needed), so We resurrected dead cities (dwellings) with this. That is how you will be brought out.
12

وَالَّذِي خَلَقَ الْأَزْوَاجَ كُلَّهَا وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ الْفُلْكِ وَالْأَنْعَامِ مَا تَرْكَبُونَ ۙ

خَلَقَ,
جَعَلَ,
نَعَمَ,
زَاجَ,
فَلَكَ,
رَكِبَ,
كُلَّ,
He is the One who created pairs for everything and made ships for you and the animals that you ride on.
13

For you to sit on their backs and remember provisions of livelihood provided by your Rabb as you sit on them, and say, “Praise to Him Who subjugated this for us; we were not associates. (Note: We are not an equal match in power to riding animals, but Allah gave us control over animals that are more powerful than us. One human resource is ~ 75 watts, One horsepower = 746 watts, Typical Car hp= 200 - 500 hp, One airplane with four jet engines - 4 x (15-to 20) Megawatt ~ 100,000 hp, ~ 1000,000 human resources, etc., so Allah gave us control over the horse, car, planes, etc., for our travel and benefits. Hence, we must thank Allah for giving us control over powerful animals and machines).
14

وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنقَلِبُونَ

قَلَبَ,
إِلَى,
رَبَّ,
And indeed, to our Rabb, we surely will return (to give an account of His provisions to have control overriding animals or vehicles, etc., and how did we use them).
15

وَجَعَلُوا لَهُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ جُزْءًا ؕ إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ لَكَفُورٌ مُّبِينٌ ࣖ

جَعَلَ,
أَنِسَ,
بَا نَ,
عَبَدَ,
جَزَى,
كَفَرَ,
Yet they made a part for Him from His worshippers. Indeed, the man is surely clearly ungrateful.
16

أَمِ اتَّخَذَ مِمَّا يَخْلُقُ بَنَاتٍ وَأَصْفَاكُم بِالْبَنِينَ

أَخَذَ,
خَلَقَ,
اِبْن,
صَفَا,
Or did He take daughters for Himself from what He creates, and you choose sons?
17

وَإِذَا بُشِّرَ أَحَدُهُم بِمَا ضَرَبَ لِلرَّحْمَنِ مَثَلًا ظَلَّ وَجْهُهُ مُسْوَدًّا وَهُوَ كَظِيمٌ

أَ جَل,
مَتَعَ,
مَثَلَ,
وَجَهَ,
ضَرَبَ,
أ حد,
كَظَمَ,
بَشِرَ,
ظَلَّ,
رَحِمَ,
سَوَاد,
Yet, when one of them is given good news with similar examples for the Merciful (that a daughter is born to him), the darkness comes to his face, and he conceals his anger.
18

أَوَمَن يُنَشَّأُ فِي الْحِلْيَةِ وَهُوَ فِي الْخِصَامِ غَيْرُ مُبِينٍ

حَلُوَ,
غير,
بَا نَ,
نَشَأَ,
خَصَمَ,
(And they say with biased against females by characterizing females as) “Someone raised in jewelry and not clear in an argument?”
19

And they appoint worshipping angels of the Merciful as females. Did they witness their creation? Their testimony (their quotation) will be recorded against them, and they will be questioned.
20

وَقَالُوا لَوْ شَاءَ الرَّحْمَنُ مَا عَبَدْنَاهُم ؕ مَّا لَهُم بِذَلِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ ࣗ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَ ؕ

قَالَ,
عَلِمَ,
شِاءَ,
رَحِمَ,
عَبَدَ,
ذَا,
خَرَص,
لَوْ,
And they say, “If the Merciful wanted, we would not have worshipped them.” But they do not know that; they only guess (fabricating arguments).
21

أَمْ آتَيْنَاهُمْ كِتَابًا مِّن قَبْلِهِ فَهُم بِهِ مُسْتَمْسِكُونَ

أَثَرَ,
قَبِلَ,
كَتَبَ,
مَسَكَ,
أَتَى,
Did We give them a book before to which they are rigidly connected (holding on)?
22

بَلْ قَالُوا إِنَّا وَجَدْنَا آبَاءَنَا عَلَى أُمَّةٍ وَإِنَّا عَلَى آثَارِهِم مُّهْتَدُونَ

قَالَ,
أَ مَّ,
أَثَرَ,
وَجَدَ,
هَدَى,
أَّبَّ,
But they say, “We found our forefathers leading this way, and indeed on their traces (remnants, influences), we are guided.
23

Likewise, We did not send a Warner before you in any village, but those living in luxury said, “Indeed, we found our fathers on this course, and we are following on their traces.”
24

قَالَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكُم بِأَهْدَى مِمَّا وَجَدتُّمْ عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَكُمْ ؕ قَالُوا إِنَّا بِمَا أُرْسِلْتُم بِهِ كَافِرُونَ

قَالَ,
وَجَدَ,
كَفَرَ,
جَاءَ,
رَسِلَ,
هَدَى,
أَّبَّ,
لَوْ,
He (prophet) said, “Even if I came to you with better guidance than what you found your forefathers following?” They said, “We do not believe in what you are sent with.”
25

فَانتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ فَانظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ ࣖ

نَقَمَ,
نَظَرَ,
عَقَبَ,
كَذَبَ,
كَيْفَ,
كَانَ,
Therefore, we took revenge on them. Behold, then see how were the punitive measures for the liars. (So We took revenge on them, so see what was the end of the deniers).
26

وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ إِنَّنِي بَرَاءٌ مِّمَّا تَعْبُدُونَ ۙ

عَبَدَ,
قَالَ,
قَامَ,
أَب,
بَرِ ىءَ,
إِذْ,
When Abraham said to his father and his nation, “I am absolved (free myself) from what you worship.
27

إِلَّا الَّذِي فَطَرَنِي فَإِنَّهُ سَيَهْدِينِ

هَدَى,
فَطَرَ,
Except for the One who gave me natural disposition (innate character), He will soon guide me on the right path.”
28

وَجَعَلَهَا كَلِمَةً بَاقِيَةً فِي عَقِبِهِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ

جَعَلَ,
رَجَعَ,
كَلِمُ,
بَقِىَ,
عَلَّ,
عَقَبَ,
لَعَلَّ,
And he left a lasting word in his progeny so they may return (to Allah).
29

بَلْ مَتَّعْتُ هَؤُلَاءِ وَآبَاءَهُمْ حَتَّى جَاءَهُمُ الْحَقُّ وَرَسُولٌ مُّبِينٌ

مَتَعَ,
بَا نَ,
حَقَّ,
رَسِلَ,
جَاءَ,
حَتَّى,
أَّبَّ,
I let them and their forefathers enjoy life (let them fulfill desires) until the truth came to them and a clear Messenger.
30

وَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمُ الْحَقُّ قَالُوا هَذَا سِحْرٌ وَإِنَّا بِهِ كَافِرُونَ

قَالَ,
كَفَرَ,
حَقَّ,
سَحَرَ,
جَاءَ,
But when the truth came, they said, “This is a magic charm, and we do not believe in it.”
31

وَقَالُوا لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ هَذَا الْقُرْآنُ عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِّنَ الْقَرْيَتَيْنِ عَظِيمٍ

قَالَ,
رَجِلَ,
قَرَى,
عَظُمَ,
قَرَأَ,
نَزَلَ,
لَوْ,
They also said, “If only this Quran were to be sent down on a leading personality of these two great cities.”
32

Do they assign mercy of your Rabb? We distribute means of subsistence in this world's life, and We raise some of them above others in grades to take each other as employees. And (but) mercy of your Rabb is best from what they gather.
33

And if it were that humankind was one nation (believers and unbelievers are the same, treated equally), We would have made homes of nonbelievers in the Most Merciful, with silver ceilings and stairs to climb.
34

وَلِبُيُوتِهِمْ أَبْوَابًا وَسُرُرًا عَلَيْهَا يَتَّكِؤُونَ ۙ

بَا تَ,
بَا ب,
سَرَّ,
عَلَا,
وَكَأَ,
The doors of their homes and couches where they happily rest.
35

وَزُخْرُفًا ؕ وَإِن كُلُّ ذَلِكَ لَمَّا مَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ؕ وَالْآخِرَةُ عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ ࣖ

تَقَى,
حي,
أخر,
دَنَا,
مَتَعَ,
زَخْرَفَ,
ذَا,
كُلَّ,
عَنَدَ,
رَبَّ,
And (these are) decorations. Yet all this is nothing but an enjoyment of the life of this world. And the Hereafter, with your Rabb, is for the God-fearing.
36

وَمَن يَعْشُ عَن ذِكْرِ الرَّحْمَنِ نُقَيِّضْ لَهُ شَيْطَانًا فَهُوَ لَهُ قَرِينٌ

ذَكّرَ,
قَرَنَ,
عَشَا,
قَضَى,
رَحِمَ,
Whoever becomes blind to remembering the Merciful, We appoint Shaitan for him, becoming an associate.
37

وَإِنَّهُمْ لَيَصُدُّونَهُمْ عَنِ السَّبِيلِ وَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ

سَبَلَ,
حَسَبَ,
هَدَى,
صَدَّ,
عَنْ,
And they hinder (appointed shaitan to turn them away) from the path (to Allah), though they consider themselves guided.
38

حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءَنَا قَالَ يَا لَيْتَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ بُعْدَ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ فَبِئْسَ الْقَرِينُ

شَرَقَ,
لَيْتَ,
بَا نَ,
بَأْ س- بَؤُ سَ,
قَالَ,
قَرَنَ,
جَاءَ,
بَعُدَ,
حَتَّى,
Until, when he will come to Us, he will say, “I wish there were a separation between me and you (me and evil companions) as of the East and West.” What a miserable companion!
39

وَلَن يَنفَعَكُمُ الْيَوْمَ إِذ ظَّلَمْتُمْ أَنَّكُمْ فِي الْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ

نَفَعَ,
عَذُبَ,
يَوْم,
ظَلَمَ,
شَرِكَ,
And indeed, there will be no benefit for you on that day since you were unjust. You will be sharing the punishment.
40

أَفَأَنتَ تُسْمِعُ الصُّمَّ أَوْ تَهْدِي الْعُمْيَ وَمَن كَانَ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُّبِينٍ

ضَلَّ,
هَدَى,
بَا نَ,
عَمِيَ,
سَمَعَ,
صَمَّ,
كَانَ,
Then, can you make the deaf listen or guide the blind, and (while) he is clearly misguided?
41

فَإِمَّا نَذْهَبَنَّ بِكَ فَإِنَّا مِنْهُم مُّنتَقِمُونَ ۙ

ذَهَبَ,
نَقَمَ,
Then, if We take you away, We will take revenge on them.
42

أَوْ نُرِيَنَّكَ الَّذِي وَعَدْنَاهُمْ فَإِنَّا عَلَيْهِم مُّقْتَدِرُونَ

رَأَى,
وَعَدَ,
قَدَرَ,
Or We will show you what We have promised them; for We indeed have power (control) on them.
43

فَاسْتَمْسِكْ بِالَّذِي أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ ۚ إِنَّكَ عَلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ

وَحَى,
قَامَ,
صِرَاط,
مَسَكَ,
إِلَى,
So, hold on to what has been inspired to you. You are on a straight path.
44

وَإِنَّهُ لَذِكْرٌ لَّكَ وَلِقَوْمِكَ ۚ وَسَوْفَ تُسْأَلُونَ

سَأَلَ,
ذَكّرَ,
قَامَ,
Indeed, this is a remembrance for you and your nation; soon, you will be asked (questioned).
45

وَاسْأَلْ مَنْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ مِن رُّسُلِنَا أَجَعَلْنَا مِن دُونِ الرَّحْمَنِ آلِهَةً يُعْبَدُونَ ࣖ

جَعَلَ,
رَسِلَ,
قَبِلَ,
سَأَلَ,
رَحِمَ,
دُون,
إِله,
Ask those messengers who came before you, whom We sent. "Did We make gods other than the Merciful to be worshipped?"
46

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَى بِآيَاتِنَا إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَئِهِ فَقَالَ إِنِّي رَسُولُ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

رَسِلَ,
عَلِمَ,
آ ىي -آية,
قَالَ,
إِلَى,
رَبَّ,
مَلَأَ,
قَدْ,
And indeed, We sent Musa with Our signs to Firon and his chiefs. He said, “I am Messenger from the Rabb of the universe.”
47

فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُم بِآيَاتِنَا إِذَا هُم مِّنْهَا يَضْحَكُونَ

آ ىي -آية,
ضَحِكَ,
جَاءَ,
But when he came to them with Our signs, they were mocking them (They were mocking at Our Signs).
48

وَمَا نُرِيهِم مِّنْ آيَةٍ إِلَّا هِيَ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ أُخْتِهَا ؗ وَأَخَذْنَاهُم بِالْعَذَابِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ

رَجَعَ,
أَخَذَ,
عَذُبَ,
كَبَرَ,
رَأَى,
آ ىي -آية,
أ خو,
لَعَلَّ,
And when each of Our signs shown to them was more marvelous than their (previous) counterpart. And We held them with the punishment so they may return (to reconsider what they were mocking).
49

وَقَالُوا يَا أَيُّهَا السَّاحِرُ ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ بِمَا عَهِدَ عِندَكَ ۚ إِنَّنَا لَمُهْتَدُونَ

قَالَ,
دَعَا,
هَدَى,
عَنَدَ,
رَبَّ,
سَحَرَ,
عَهِدَ,
أَيُّ,
And they said, “O you the magician, pray to your Rabb for us (to remove the punishment), what He promised to you, and then we will become guided.”(Note. They called Musa and Haroon magicians still after seeing all the miracles and not as prophets).
50

فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمُ الْعَذَابَ إِذَا هُمْ يَنكُثُونَ

كَشَفَ,
عَذُبَ,
نَكَثَ,
Then (but) when We removed the punishment from them, they broke (reneged, returned on their promise).
51

And Pharaoh said to his people, "Is not the kingdom of Misr (Egypt) mine, and these rivers flowing beneath me? Do you not see?"
52

أَمْ أَنَا خَيْرٌ مِّنْ هَذَا الَّذِي هُوَ مَهِينٌ ۙ࣢ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُبِينُ

خَيرَ,
كود,
هَانَ,
بَا نَ,
أَنَا ,
Am I not better than this weakling, who is almost not clear (in speaking)?
53

فَلَوْلَا أُلْقِيَ عَلَيْهِ أَسْوِرَةٌ مِّن ذَهَبٍ أَوْ جَاءَ مَعَهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ مُقْتَرِنِينَ

ذَهَبَ,
لَقِيَ,
قَرَنَ,
جَاءَ,
مَلَكَ,
مَعَ,
أَسْوَار,
لَوْ,
Why didn't Moses receive gold jewelry or come with the associated angels?
54

فَاسْتَخَفَّ قَوْمَهُ فَأَطَاعُوهُ ؕ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمًا فَاسِقِينَ

فًسًقَ,
خَفَّ,
كَانَ,
طَاعَ,
قَامَ,
So, he made little value (lowered the judgment) of his nation, and they followed him. Indeed, they were a nation of transgressors.
55

فَلَمَّا آسَفُونَا انتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ فَأَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ ۙ

غَرِقَ,
نَقَمَ,
جَمَعَ,
أَ سِفَ,
And when they angered Us, We took revenge and drowned them all.
56

فَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ سَلَفًا وَمَثَلًا لِلْآخِرِينَ ࣖ

جَعَلَ,
أخر,

Please find below the instructions on how to use the "rootwordsofquran" website: Step 1: Click on the root words displayed on the right side of the Ayats. A summary of a few meanings will be provided. Step 2: Click "Follow the link for reference on the Dictionary page." This will take you to the pages of the dictionary for the words. For advanced search options, highlight and copy the root word, then right-click and select "Search Google for." You can use Wiktionary, PONS translations, or other websites and paste the root word for search. For a more detailed analysis, you can refer to Lane's Lexicon (quranic-research.net). To search other websites for the Ayats, highlight the entire Ayat and right-click to search Google for other websites. I hope the above instructions are helpful. May Allah (SWT) reward you for your efforts. JazakAllah Khair. (ًجزاك اللهُ خيرا)

As salamu alaikum. Based on my research and understanding, I believe that the root words for يَحُورَ are ح - ا- ر which can be used to imply "returned", "change from a good state to a bad state", "decrease", "confusion".This maybe a wrong observation. Please look into it and guide me. JazakAllah.

Response:

Walakum As salam. Inaaya According to the dictionary, there are many translations of the root word for يَحُورَ, ح - ا- ر,حَارَ including to return, to be reduced, white, and alley, etc., with other meanings of other morphed forms that are available by clicking on the link of dictionary Page # 176 of the word حَارَ. The translations follow the meanings of the dictionary. In the translation for the Surah No. 84--الإنشِقاق--Splitting Open --.Ayat No 14 is translated as "to return," and it is the correct translation. Let us know of a particular Ayat in your references. I hope it answers your inquiry. May Allah (SWT) reward you for your efforts. JazakAllah Khair.

Great work done here may Allah SWT accept this endeavour and increase you and your team in knowledge, just a couple of inputs, one the dictionary you have used gives many example of words and example outside of the Quran Vocubalary, can you attach some good lexicon of Quranic arabic, second is it possible to show the dictionary page a copy able text so people can use it for their personal research. Again good work, please continue the development. Jazak Allahu Khair

Response:

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu Kamran Shaikh, Thank you for your valuable advice on adding a Quranic Lexicon to increase the understanding of the Quran. This task would require a team of scholars to research the historical context and include the latest scientific proofs to explain the definitions and meanings backed by research references. We have already included a few references, such as the supernova explosion with the plasma jet stream in Surah Tariq. We invite interested audiences with expertise in the scientific community to establish a committee and work together to publish a Qur'anic Lexicon to improve our understanding of the Al-Quran and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who received the Glorious Al-Quran. We are grateful to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala for this blessing and strive to understand His message and seek His forgiveness. We appreciate your encouraging comments. Kindly inform us of any errors or suggestions for improvements. May Allah Subhanahu Wa-Ta'ala reward you for your efforts. جزاك اللهُ خير Jazaka Allahu Khairan: May Allah reward you with good.

Assalamu alaikum , may I know root letter for اتقوا thank you

Response:

Assalamualaikum, Thank you for your inquiry. I have used the root for اتقوا as تَقَى; however, وَقَى, has the same meaning when used as a verb. If we use, “those who are afraid of Allah”, we can use وَقَى, as root words. If we use “those who are devout, and pious”, then we can use تَقَى, as the root word. Walakum Assalam wa rahmatu Allahi wa barakatuhu Dr SA This is our blessing that we are in the Ummah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ Salla-Allahu Alayhi Wasallam, who received the Glorious Al-Quran for our guidance. We thank Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala for being a part of his Ummah. All we can do is try to understand His Message and ask for His Forgiveness. Your comments were encouraging; Please let us know if you find any mistakes for corrections or provide us with your suggestions for improvements. Fahad 12/25/2022 3:28:06 PM
AoA. Thank you for compiling the roots in one place. Barak Allahu Feek! In looking at some of the root words you show, some are different that what other sources say. As an example for 1:5, the word الصِّرَاطَ is generally tied to the root صِرَط, but you are showing صِرَاط. There are several others that do not match with typical conventions. I don't know Arabic at all, let alone what roots are 'true'. Just humbly requesting if you can share what specific source do you follow to list the roots? Any guidance will be greatly appreciated, and will help me align my understanding of the various ways of looking at the Quranic text, iA. Thank you again for the great work you have initiated. SA

Response:

Walakum Assalam, Fahad, Appreciate your comment. The root words are normally listed in separate alphabets, but the reader of the Quran will not easily identify the words of Quranic Ayats. The Dictionary of the Modern Literary Language Compiled and Arranged by MAAN ZULFI MADINA shows the root word most closely listed in written forms. Checking in the dictionary on pp-371, the word used is صِرَاط with the meanings of way and path. The word for ارض is shown as أَرَض. The word wrapping sometimes becomes a problem in the data and should be ارض. There are a few words that will be updated to be the same as shown in the dictionary. We will keep updating the root words as shown in the dictionary. Originally the work was developed in excel with the link function and find function of root words in the Quran. Now we have used SQL to upload the files. May Allah Subhanahu Wa-Ta'ala reward you for your efforts. Jazaka Allahu Khairan: ًجزاك اللهُ خيرا “May Allah reward you with good.”

Response:

Assalam U Alaikum Qurat ul ain Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your comment. The root word and meaning of the word نَزَغَ is not listed in the Arabic English University Dictionary of the Modern Literary Language Compiled and Arranged by MAAN ZULFI MADINA. Dear Admin, you have written صدق الله العظيم as part of every sorah and even given it an ayat number while it is not part of the Quran. The Holy Quran does not have this verse and there is no example of writing these words in the Quran so please remove this as it is a kind of tehreef.JazakAllah

Response:

Assalam u Alakum Qaisrani, We appreciate your comment. The line صدق الله العظيم, ALLAH HAS SPOKEN THE GREATEST TRUTH, was added to be read after the recitation of Al-Quran as a regular practice. We agree with your comment that these lines are not part of Al-Quran and should not number as a continuation of Ayats. We will remove these lines on the next upgrade. It has become part of the database at present, and for now, we will add clarifications to these lines. Its a stunning work. i am learning arabic and deeply interested to speak fluently. If you can provide the linking pages as text reference, will be a great boon for us. through that we can also search for any words that appear in texts and refer back to the root. it is also the reverse way. But now the linked dictionary pages are in pdf or image only ref. But thanks very much for this wonderful work. Ifyou can make a tool out of it..we can contribute to it as i know time is spent very much on it.

Salam - For the last 10 years I have been searching for a similar tool that can connect the Quranic ayats with their root words. This is a revolutionary tool that truly fulfils the gap in understanding that existed between the meaning and spirt of each ayat. After gaining this deeper level of understanding the process of reading quran becomes a process which is a dialogue between your soul and Allah. Now i understand why this message was such a transformational tool in the lives of sahaba since they understood the root meaning of quranic ayats. I feel like this is the need of the hour and this tool will truly helps us in establishing and connecting back to our true ibrahimic roots. I would like to send my deepest gratitude to team behind this master piece.May the ummah benefit from this revolutionary tool.
